Oke, I got you're attention..
I just read the whole masturbation thread and I thought of making this thread...
Well, I'm a christian and I will not have sex before I get married (unless I get raped), because I believe in God (and I know He doesn't want everybody to have sex with everybody) and because I want sex to be something special, and to give ALL of me to only one person!
What do you guys think about this?

Seeing as how I知 straight-edge, I知 not going to be having sex until I知 married. The only scenario where that would change is if I know the girl I知 with wants to be with me for the rest of time and we plan on getting married in the future or something like that. For example, I知 16 right now. If I was to have a girlfriend and she really loved me and I really loved her and we decided to have sex and we knew we were going to be together, then I would do it (protected, of course).

I don't believe in marriage. Therefore, I will never get married. But, I agree with you on making it something special. I will not have sex with someone unless I've known them for a long time and been together with them for a long time.

I believe in God too. I personally feel that sex should be something special, and not some 1 night stand. I'm going to wait until I'm with that special person. Like Will said, it might happen before marrage If I know were going to be together for a long time. Me being a guy, its gonna be difficult especially since most of my friends have done it. I dont see what the big deal is anyway.. Sex is not that big. Its not like we have to go on a quest for sex like on those goofy comedy's you see on T.V. It probably wont last that long, depending on the person. So yea, I'm gonna focus on something bigger than sex, like my future. I can wait for sex.

I'm waiting until I get married or until I find a girl that loves me more than life itself, to have sex. I'm not doing this because of my belief in a god but rather because it is respectable to myself to wait until the right time, rather then give up my virginity at a young age.
Trust me, every girl I know that's had sex at a young age has regretted it later on in life. Yeah I'm not a girl, but since I'm so sensitive it would probably bother me just the same. I know a girl named Brianna right now and I came to a conclusion that I really DO love her last night, but I would not have sex with her unless we got married or she told me she loves me more than anything and wants to stay with me forever.

ok people, sex is WAY over-rated, really badly, its only good when its with the person you want it to be with, so dont get drawn into peer-pressure people
I think sex is very important. And it is necessary to have it before marriage. What if you fall in love with a girl who's done it before? I've had sex but it was with someone that I'm madly in love with and someone that is madly in love with me and we know that we want to spend the rest of our lives together. Yeah we're young (only 15) but we're old enough to make our own decisions on this. I would never have done it if I wasn't madly in love with my boyfriend. Since when I was a virgin with who I lost it to was a BIG thing. But I do respect people's decisions in when they are going to have it. They should just do it whenever they feel ready and when they find the right person. :)
I'll have sex when I'm with someone I love, and I know they love me back.

same here, i will wait till marrige, although it will be tough! had a girl that was wild, and truely if i wanted to, i could have, but no, and i am glad i didnt, she broke up and found out later that she was suisidle and crazy ta boot! i believe in God and made an oath, thus i must keep it
I'm a disbeliever of god. I believe if god really made people, why does he rule us? I believe we should rule ourselves, and make our own descisions. But to have people help guide us in the right direction, not force us. I respect your opinion though, I really do. It's nice to see opinions of other people, I like that. :)

Ok, I'm wierd... the first time I did it, it was a one night stand in Flordia with a girl I hardley knew... we were both on vaction you know and both looking to have fun... and you know #### happens, the 2nd time I did it was with my ex-girlfriend who I loved, but I guess she didn't want to return the feelings, but oh well... sex was still great :whistle: :lol:

I'm not religious at all, so I'm not worried about being punished by God, but I like hearing people saying that they want sex to special. Personally, I'm not sure if I'm going to wait until marriage or not...but I do know that I won't do it until I'm in a relationship where the love is mutual and where sex will be an experience that neither he nor I will want to share with anyone but each other. If we felt ready before marriage and we knew that we would be together for the rest of our lives anyway, I'm sure that it would be fine.

I respect your decision and opinion on sex but you cant let one person tell you what to do with your personal/sex life. (god) You should do whatever you want but if you dont want to do it anyway, you do that and if you want it, go for it.

I think its a guy thing...they did this test in on this campus where a girl (pretty good looking) walked up too a guy and asked if he wanted sex...90% said yes! :lol:

I really don't have an opinion. I'm a christian, so my religion pressures me into not, but society pressures me to. I really hate both. I am beginning to think more and more everyday that organized religion is bullshit. But honestly, I'm gonna wait till me and her are ready, and then I'm gonna wait to find a place where we won't get caught by my folks. ;) :lol:
I haven't done it yet, mostly because I want my relationships based on something other than sex. The guy I'm with right now has done it, really regrets it, and (we had a long talk about all this) isn't going to push me into doing anything. But in case you're wondering, I don't believe in God, and I'm not planning on doing anything anytime soon.

I'm gonna wait for that special person and/or wait for marriage. I think it should be a special thing. I can't believe that people of my age (14) have already done it. Even if maybe the right person came along now, I would wait until in or after college.
BTW: This is my choice, not just because of religion (judaism)

I did it once, when I was 16. And more power to the people who are waiting, its definitely better to wait. Trust me, once youve experienced it for the first time the want and need for it is like 100 times worse. Its hard to control too. So to all those who are waiting: wait as much as you can.

OK, I'm an atheist, but I to respect the decisions of the people who would rather wait until marriage. But my feelings towards this are different. See a lot of you make it sound like you can only fall in love once. Thats not true at all....well I don't believe in fate, so in my opinion it's not true....but let's say you do wait until your married (this whole abscenence thing is to protect you from aids and #### right?) and you have sex, without a condom...ok the first thing that could happen is that your partner may have AIDS, or some kind of VD. OK scenario one you could get them from her (or him in a womans case). Then your screwed. But lets say you wait until marriage, have sex, then your wife dies of some freak accident....are you never going to fall in love again? No....your gonna fall in love again, and if you still want children, your not gonna wear protection. Now you've had sex with 2 people...but lets say neither one of them had any type of VD. Well the thing is, somehow, you can still get, whether either of them, or you had it....that sucks. Now I think that was confusing, but what I'm trying to get at is that there is no safe way to be safe from AIDS, or Hepatitis, or Herpes, or whatever. And people say absenence(which this whole thread really is about) is the only way....and it's not full proof. So anyways, if you don't wait till marriage, but you are in love, and have sex...thats the same as if you do get married while your in love, but your partner dies....if you understood that, that's good because I am making a point and not rambling, but it's kinda ####ed up.
EDIT: Oh I forgot to answer haha. No I probably won't wait.

Iam christian but I dont go to church or beleave in god or any of the crap, no offence to people that do :D but yea I've been going out with my girlfriend for around a year and one month on the 30th :D and sex has come up many times but I keep telling her that THERES NO WAY IAM HAVING SEX before Iam merried :D meh thats just the way I feeel I want to have sex with the girl iam going to be with for the rest of my life you know and I hope that will be my girlfriend :D

But I'm going to wait until I'm older. Maybe marriage, maybe not. It's like In.My.Skin said--you'll probably love more then one person in your life. But I want to wait until I'm older and in a relationship I think will last.
