They purposely cut off all those songs from the CD to use them in LPU 3.0's CD. I'm still a little annoyed by the fact we're getting songs we already heard.

But the CD is supposed to be extremely enhanced with more enhanced content then all of LP's CDs to date so..I cant complain.

I like the intro they did for By Myself too :D . They should have done this for more songs... Points Of Authority also has a slightly different intro.

Hehe the By Myself DvD Version is awesome. I ripped the song off the DvD and burned it. Don't worry, I'm going to join the LPU anywho.

Yeah, I've been meaning to get off my butt and rip the audio and burn it onto a CD too. But something just tells me that the songs on the LPU 3 CD probably won't be songs on the DVD.

What exactly do you mean?

I think Cameron might be right. LP said in the DVD they shot two shows, yet, we only see one of the shows. The other show is probably part of the LPU package.

The DVD looks/sounds (because of the sometimes horrible lipsynch) like they used the audio from one Texas show and the video from the other.

Which part? The part where I'm talking about ripping the audio from the DVD or the part where I'm talking about my theory of the songs excluded from the CD not being on the LPU 3 CD?

I never noticed.

Actually, I did kind of notice at the beginning of "Lying From You," it sounded like it shouldn't have sounded the way it did on the DVD (if that made any sense).

Maybe that's also a reason why they showed backstage footage when the band was talking and not playing anything...

Just look carefully and in the same song Brad plays with 2 different guitars  . They used audio and video from the 2 Texas show, and mixed it in a blender :D .

So wait a sec, are all of you saying that on the DVD, it's not really showing what they were singing then...but they are lipsynching (atleast on the dvd) from another show?

Does that make sense?

*Example, this isn't real*

Let's say they played LFY at the 2 shows (wich I do belive they did). The audio of the first show is better than the 2nd show, now they have to add images. They look at the best shots from the 2 versions of the song for the same timing and choose one. This is why sometimes it's like the images were slightly offtime.

yeah i kinda noticed that too.
By myself is amazing, i love the intro. Brad's guitar was based on HT.

Yeah they probably did that for some of them, but for others they probably used the video and audio.

Don't ask me how this works, because I don't know either. My theory is that the band left out some songs from the DVD and CD (even though they say it is the entire SS set on LIT).

Confused? So am I.
