Welcome to the official, first annual, LPA Forums Awards Show&#33; Over a short amount of time, LPA Forums has grown to house a vast amount of intelligent, not-so-intelligent, crazy, mean, and a bunch of bastards&#33; Anyways, this is the show where it will all happen&#33; I&#39;ll be your host for this event, considering, I thought of the blasted idea, and i&#39;ll try my best not to bore you guys to death. Anyways, since this is just the [Red Carpet] stage, this is simply a "voting" process. Below, I will have listed catagories, and you people will simply answer them in the form of a Private Message to ME, and I shall accumulate the scores (you may trust me folks). I don&#39;t want the scores and votes to be seen publicly, for obvious reasons that it will take away from the glamour of the actual show&#33; So here are the catagories, and anyone of the forums may be a nominee.....

The best thread starter should be someone who creates the topics that always seem to rise to the top of the forums, always get good responses, etc.

The title explains it all. Who here can back up an argument successfully, or provide insight beyond that of a normal forum member?

Who will make a tense situation better?

Best Personality

Who always seems a shiny and seems to be uplifting in their thoughts and actions?

The Best Thread (Or Series of threads)

What thread is worthy of this award. For the newbies, a thread is a topic.

Best Graphics Artist

Anything graphics related: Sketches, Movies or computer made graphics. and who PWNS that section&#33;

Best Writer

Whoever has caught your attention greatly in the "Writer&#39;s Cove"

Person who has left for any reason, and wish should be back.

Has a member been banned, left, etc. and think he should have been back?

Best Staff Personelle

These can be for any reasons. Whether they protect and serve the LPA nicely, or whether they&#39;re just a friend of yours. Pick only from the ADMIN., SITE, and MODERATOR groups.

Most Controversial Member

Who is the person who always seems to either get people riled up, or start talk among the members?

Best Overall Member

The member who carries attributes from many of the previous catagories should get this award. This is the KAHUNA.

Ok everyone, so here&#39;s the deal. Me being the sexy host for this evening (and for however many evenings this takes), I will be collecting all your votes through my Private Message box. I&#39;m going to ask that you guys simply copy and paste the above list into a Private Message, then replace the info. with the person you&#39;re voting for. Only vote for one in each catagory&#33; Make it readable, since I can&#39;t read your thoughts, for example, don&#39;t give me a nickname you may use for an admin. like:

Alex = Ala = Al = 4lex.

I don&#39;t care how LEET you are with any other member, I could care diddly squat about that. Moving on...

I will stop taking votes sometime on August 10th California Time. So get your votes in&#33; I haven&#39;t chosen where I would like to hold the final ceremony. I may do it in the LPA chat, or I may do it here in a thread (a bit less exciting, but whatever get&#39;s the job done). Edit #2: Just to clear up some things, label your PM accordingly (hint: "LPA FORUMS AWARD VOTES"). Also, I will read everyones, but I will not reply, so don&#39;t expect anything. Edit #3: I just added three more catagories. I apologize to those who have already voted, but to vote in those cats, just send me your votes for that three and I will tack them to your previous votes, no need to vote all over again. THe new catagories are the three on top of the list. Enjoy&#33;

Maybe semi-annual, considering Internet lives on forums like these are traditionally sped up quite a bit, so it would happen every couple of months. But this one has to work first, as Derek said. Anyways, let&#39;s keep those votes rolling in baby&#33;

The list was originally longer, but I had to take out some negative choices such as "Person I wished was banned" and "Official Nuisance". I wanted the first show to be as positive as possible. But don&#39;t worry, i&#39;ll be causing the controversy at the official show. lol...no one will get their award easy...

I&#39;m currently contemplating about using some type of live media player to broadcast, and i&#39;d use my voice and stuff and have guests and stuff...maybe a bit farfetched...but who knows...?

The actual show doesn&#39;t have a set date yet. We may do it in a thread here, or in the chatroom, or maybe over a live radio show where you can actually here my voice...depends on how many people have Winamp...

Umm, not at all. Trust me, it&#39;s not as bias as you may think. Fred Durst, you&#39;re right, it&#39;s their fault if they may win the "Hottest Member" or "Most Intelligent". There&#39;s no bias catagory at all...when you choose "BEST STAFF PERSONELLE", don&#39;t you think they deserve atleast one catagory to themselves? All the others are fair game, and are by no means dominated by the staff...

From where the voting stands right now, trust me, staff is not dominating throughout. (hehe, sorry staff)
