View Full Version : 2003 MTV Movie Awards
Muchmusic has been playing the Movie Awards non stop for the past week, and I thought this show was really entertaining. The beginning spoof of the Matrix was so hilarious, and so were the award acceptances from Yoda and Gollum. Although I think Justin Timberlake's and Shawn William Scott's lines seemed a little forced, they did ok. The whole comic book animation thing was cool.
What did you guys think?

I haven't seen it yet, but I'm hoping to catch it sometime this weekend, though that's doubtful.

I thought the beginning, where Sean William Scott ripped off his costume and had Justin Timberlake underwear on was hilarious. Especially when Justin pointed to his crotch and said, "Is that my face on your crotch?!"
And everytime I heard a 'Meteora' song, I was happy. :-D

t.a.T.u. are ugly and their music is death for my ears, but all those girls in school girl uniforms and then just underwear were great!
The Matrix spoof was hilarious; I just love Andy Di.ck. I will agree with Mark saying Sean's lines seemed forced the first 10 min of the show but then he lightened up.
Chris Kattan (?) was really funny too.

Yeah, same here. Doesn't Much Music always make fun of MTV?

Muchmusic Canada. MTV doesn't have an audience in Canada, so Much gets most of their award shows and whatnot. No actual music shows, like TRl, though. MMCA and MTV can't be competitors because MTV isn't in Canada, hah. I'm not sure about MMUSA (or "Fuse") and MTV, though.

c.r.A.p.U. or whatever were definitely lip-synching a lot that night. If it weren't for those other girlies frollocking about, their performance would have sucked.
When 50 Cent came on, I went to take a poo. I'd rather do that than watch some ugly kid monotone-rap.
When Pink came on, I made a sandwhich. Ham & cheese is more entertaining than this freak.
I think Dobby should have won, not Gollum. :(

sorry man, i'd have to disagree. Gollum's features and faces where just too awesome. You could really believe that he was an actual creature who was acting alongside Frodo and the other guy whose name I can't remember. Doby seemed somewhat fake in my mind, hah. Now, they're all fake, yet Gollum was more believable.

I'm just a Potter fan...ignore my trivial remarks. Gollum was great! Dobby was just so cute...I wanted to pinch his widdle cheeks. [/being weird] :P

Yeah I saw the gig after Gollum won for best virtual performance, and it was on a videotape and the guy who voiced him was accepting the award. Then Gollum came on and took it ('its mine, my precious') and went on a lengthy tirade full of f-words, it was pretty hilarious! :D
