Hope there isn't a thread for this, didn't notice one. Anyways, which 5 songs from Living Things are you looking forward to hearing the most? Speculative descriptions allowed, if someone doesn't want to get spoilered, he or she shouldn't be reading this in the first place.

Mine:

1. Lost in the Echo
2. Castle of Glass
3. In My Remains
4. Skin To Bone
5. Lies Greed Misery

He said 50%. Did I mention, speculations? Some expect Tinfoil to be like Session, hence they're eager to hear it. Lost in the Echo will have edgy rap and catchy lyrics (we already know the main chorus line) - hence some are eager to hear it.

I find you amusing. Let me try to explain it to you, once and for all.

Imagine you like movies. Now, imagine you're looking forward to The Dark Knight Rises. Also, maybe you are looking forward to Prometheus. And Hobbit. Now, if I ask you which of these movies you are looking forward to the most, you might say "Prometheus, I love the ambiance and the atmosphere I get from the trailers". Do you know any real details about the movie itself? Pretty much, no. But you're simply looking forward to it more than you're looking forward to TDKR or Hobbit.

Same, we know some general descriptions about some songs, a teaser trailer if you will. Mike can say this and that, but if we read an interview saying Lost in the Echo features heavy rapping, we know it's got heavy rapping, that kind of statement can't be misread. Thus, if you're a fan of Mike's rapping, you're looking forward to Lost in the Echo. Same goes for the other songs. This thread is about which tracks you're excited about more than others. Very simple. Not names. Not track lengths. Tracks themselves. Hope that clears it up for you.

I'm looking forward to Castle of Glass, Road's Untraveled, and Until it Breaks solely because of the folk influence. Based on everything so far, and some rational thinking, my anticipation is back to a good level. I'm interested in hearing the album, but I can wait because there's no way anything can live up to the hype being created by all the reviews coming out now.

1. Victimized, they say it's going to be the heaviest, Heavier than QWERTY apparently.
2. Untill It Breaks, because one review said it reminded them of when Hip-Hop music actually ment something, like good hip-hop, I'm so sick of Nicki Manaj and lil Wayne pretending they got it. I'm just scared the review might be inacurate.
3. Castle Of Glass, a review said it had an eree feel, and something about Chester's horror movie past.
4. Lost in The Echo, wanna see how the album starts off.
5. Powerless, interested in seeing how they close the album.

Seriously, I have no clue. I can't pick just 5, they all sound like they will be different styles and exciting. Too hard to narrow down to 5. Could easily pick the first 5 (6 because BID doesn't count) and say those but then I'll be wondering what I'm missing from the mysterious ROADS UNTRAVELED and SKIN TO BONE. But if I include those then you gotta take out IN MY REMAINS and I'LL BE GONE which I want to hear so bad.

So. I want one song.

Well, I already posted about my 5 most anticiped tracks, but it was before we got descriptions of all the tracks. So here's my final top 5...I guess:

5)CASTLE OF GLASS : the adjectives that have been used to describe it, terms such as eerie, melancholic, indie vulnerability, ambient... It makes me think of The National or bands like that, I can't wait to hear how the track will actually sounds

4)LOST THE ECHO: a in-your-face opener reminescent of the past:)

3)LIES GREED MISERY : innovative and agressive at th same time, sounds good to me

2)SKIN TO BONE : hyptnotic, tripped out? Could LP be taking the psychedelic road? If yes, then...(w00t)

1)VICTIMIZED: heaviest LP track ever? Really curious to hear that

Victimized - Linkin Park's heaviest song yet? Come At Me Bro!
Tinfoil - Linkin Park's instrumentals and interludes are amazing, and I'm curious as to what this sounds like.
Lost in the Echo - It's been hyped so much, so what the hell.
Castle Of Glass - Love the Name
I'll Be Gone - An Inception-like reference to A Thousand Suns, I wonder if the song itself has anything to do with When They Come For Me or A Thousand Suns

I really wanna hear the whole album, but the tracks I'm most excited about are:
1. Lost In The Echo - I wanna know what the album opener sounds like and it seems to be a big intro track from what I've heard.
2. In My Remains - Seems to be a high energy track and also LP talked about it being one of the hardest tracks to finish.
3. Castle Of Glass - Sounds very interesting and deep.
4. Victimized - For obvious reasons. :awesome:
5. Powerless - I have a fetish for album closers and this "cinematic" track sounds like it'll be a big one. (:

1. Lost In The Echo - people are comparing it to the ''old Linkin Park'', so I wanna know how It would sound like today, 12 years after HT
2. Tinfoil/Powerless - along with that ''Tinfoil'' intro I really think this is going to sound like Session/Numb ending of Meteora...They described it as a power ballad so... :)
3. I'll Be Gone - Linkin Park with string arrangements, really excited about how would that sound
4. Victimized - Heaviest track ever?
5. Until It Breaks - I like the rap verse from live shows, but can't wait to hear the whole track

btw. Lies Greed Misery = awesome

I really have no idea what to expect.. Just from reading the track descriptions in no specific order:

I was excited for SKIN TO BONE only because I thought it was a pretty sick track-title.. I haven't read a clear review on this song so I still have a little hope.

1) Powerless - I'm almost always a fan of LP's album closers/ballads, so I expect that'll be the case here too
2) Castle of Glass - I'm liking the descriptions so far, especially the depth it seems to have.
3) Until it Breaks - I love that rap intro that they're using with WFTE right now, and knowing it has "jarring changes" (forgot where I read that) in it, and apparently is ballad-y too, I'm pretty intrigued.
4) Lost in the Echo - Aside from Papercut and BITS (hey, it's the first real song on ATS), LP's first couple songs have always been among my least favorite on the album, so I'm anxious to see if this one follows that trend or not.
5) Victimized - I'm just curious to see how heavy LP can get... It probably won't be one of my favorites on the album, but it's still one of the ones I'm most curious about.

1. Victimized - I love heavy LP and hearing that this is the heaviest they've done, I'm super excited! And due to the small length of the song, it sounds like it's gonna be badass and might possibly be my most played song on iTunes
2. I'll Be Gone - I wasn't as excited as before but when hearing more news about this song, I get pretty happy
3. Lost in the Echo - The descriptions to this song sound jizz-tastic
4. Castle of Glass - Sounds like a Meteora, M2M and ATS song all rolled into one. I like the sound of it
5. Powerless - Knowing this song is composed from a demo and took a long time to refine makes me happy too

I'd add In My Remains in there, but there just hasn't been enough hype about it from reviewers yet

Based off of the interviews we have, I would say:

1) Lost in the Echo: Descriptions make it sound big, and old school. No doubt it will be a rap verse, sing chorus type of song with Mike and Chester. And, album openers are usually big.

2) I'll Be Gone: I love the songs with strings in them, and something tells me this one will be really epic.

3) Tinfoil/Powerless: I'm going to assume these two songs combine to make one grand and epic closing song. I have high hopes for this one.

4) Castle of Glass: I've heard so many cool things about this song, and it definitely sounds unique.

5) Victimized: Okay, shortest song ever, but I want to see what all the hype is about. Heavier than Given Up, One Step Closer, and Blackout? I'm definitely intrigued.

Of course I'm dying to hear every one of them. lol

1. UNTIL IT BREAKS- The switch up in this song has been on my mind since I first read the conflicting descriptions of it being rap-heavy and then being described as one of the two ballads on the album. Aside from that, I feel like it is going to be one of the most epic tracks LP has ever produced, especially with lyrics such as, "Strength of the rising sun".
2. LOST IN THE ECHO- I honestly feel like this track has the potential to be the best opening track from any LP album. Based off of the descriptions, I feel like it will have the ability to fully immerse the listener into a completely different atmosphere, where we all might get "LOST IN THE ECHO". Lol, see what I did there!
3. POWERLESS- This track has gained anticipation mainly due to the fact of its ambiguity. I have no clue what it's going to sound like, but I think it will be something as epic as the requiem for a dream theme, and in addition, it's the album closer, so there's no way it can be bad.
4. I'LL BE GONE- Initally I wasn't too excited for this track, the first thing that popped in my head was the bridge from WTCFM. However, after hearing about how Owen Pallet's strings brought an interesting energy to it, I am curious to see how it ends up sounding.
5. CASTLE OF GLASS- I think every fan on some level has been super interested in this track, since it's been stated to have a folk inspired sound. I believe this track might be one of the best examples of being a hybrid of multiple music styles.

It's kind of difficult to decide because every song in the album sounds promising to me, but still, here goes:

1. Powerless - After the description that read "has the hefty of a John Williams score", I was interested in this song. It is currently my number one because the "snippet" of the LP Photo Shoot sounded amazingly epic.
2. Castle Of Glass - This song seems really intriguing to me, because of folk influence and the descriptions that say that it's really eerie and creepy.
3. In My Remains - A song that is dark and triumphant, according to Spin's review of it. I'm anticepating this one because it seems like it will be one of most energetic, yet most powerful songs on the album.
4. Until It Breaks - I'm not really sure what this song will be like because the reviews are really contradicting each other. Either it's a rap song surrounded by beats, or it's a ballad. Though, after reading Mike's interview with MTV, it makes me really interested in what it will sound like.
5. Lost In The Echo - Linkin Park's album openers have always been epic and awesome. Looking forward to this song, which has a cool name.

I'm thinking it's like Blackout, 2 sections, but this one might be more blended in than the abrupt change in Blackout.

I think in the song description thread Until It Breaks was described as being created from four different demos, so it could be all those things at once for all we know.

I wanted to hear CASTLE OF GLASS the most(still want to) but when a fan review said ''Mike sings the whole song'' ROADS UNTRAVELLED became my most anticipated. You know what? Fuck this CAPS LOCK shit I'm not doing it
