This is about my friend Jim....he shot himself in the head because he was playing a game, but it really wasn't a game in the end...RIP jim ily man....5/30/86--1/19/03

Close your eyes and wish it all away
Takes us back to that day in May
When an amazing life was started
now sixteen years later his soul departed
That cold dark night
You knew something wasn't right
By the morning everyone knew
Four days later we saw you
While they layed you down for eternal rest
We knew why god took the best
Lord, such an awful mistake which should have been prevented
All our hearts are now dented
We all heard when you pulled the trigger
That deafening sound made pain much bigger
Now we all must regret
But god i swear ill never forget

JIM I LOVE YOU MAN...RiP

I usually don't comment in this forum, but I thought I would for this one.

I thought that was a really good poem, it is very nice.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend though, i'm sure he was an awesome guy.

how many people do you know that would do something like that in the memory of a friend? you two must have been extremely close.

your friends are lucky to know you

well here is how it is..i am a sophmore, and he is a junior....he still is a junior..and he is never gonna be a "was a junior ect."..anyways..we always lived real close, and up until 8th grade we were cool and hung out and did stuff at each others houses..and then he went to a different school than i did..we barley talked..but sort of kept in touch it was weird..but anyways...that night i was sitting home, and i heard the news..i got so scared cuz i did not believe it..so i ran just down the street to see that my fears came true...and i asked just to see him, but they said i coudlnt, and i understood. i dont think its legal or soemthing..but i dont think i woudl want to see that anyways, and i know i might be boring you all here, or going completeley off task about thei "writers section"...but i feel i haev to get it off my chest, i miss him so much, i just wish i could talk to him for about 1 minute to ask what was going threw his mind when he thought he was having fun...he was a great kid, very popular, captain of football team..well he was gonna be as his senior year..now they retired his jersey. but like P roach said

"Born with nothing, die with everything"..its sad the way he went, but we miss him so much, not a day goes by when i dont think about it, and if he was still living, iwould have walked down the street and started to be his friend again..well thanks for listening guys and girls...soudns weird but it helps

:( You're a good friend. It kind of goes back to that topic about "regretting." This is an example of regretting something you never did: be his friend again. It's okay, man. It'll be alright.
