Ddue Metallica is the best rock group. And i'm saying this without any bad conscious about [LP].

You have to know at least these songs by Metallica:

Seek & Destroy
Master Of Puppets
One
Nothing Else Matters
Mama Said
Welcome Home [Sanitarium]
The Unforgiven
The Unforgiven 2
Fade To Black
Enter Sandman
...And Justice For All
Said But True
Until It Sleeps
Wherever I May Roam
Hero Of The Day
The Memory Reamins
I Disappear

At Least these songs... ;)

But yeah, I think Metallica should call it quits. Personally, I don&#39;t think they have a place in the buisness anymore. That, and I feel that St. Anger will flop.

Yes it was Men hurting themselves weekend...and yes it was pretty funny.

I admit, I did used to have a slight metallica phase...I did used to like them quite a bit, I still dom just not as much now.

The songs I recommend are:
<div align=center>Nothing else matters
One
Enter Sandman
Master of Puppets</div>

I think their old material was a lot better than their newest stuff...Maybe St. Anger can prove that they&#39;re not out of it just yet...

I couldn&#39;t hear much of the song so I can&#39;t say anything so far...

[Edit]: I think the song is pretty cool :) Lars one more time proved that he&#39;s one of the best drummers in the world :) In the song they "stole" the double singing from [LP] cuz when James is singing the guitaris [sorry i donnow his name] is also singing something. And the video is cool and it finishes nice :) The song is pretty good...

I know alot about rock and Metallica. Metallica is just washed-up 80&#39;s metal. It&#39;s like they&#39;re trying to bring Metal back into something that has changed so drastically over the past 20 years. I don&#39;t need to like Metallica to like rock.

I&#39;m sorry but I will have to agree that compared to thier old stuff "St. Anger" was not only a pile of rubbish but a bad choice for a first single.

First off the instruments are extremely quiet and dont pack enough of a crunch. (Whether its bad mixing or just bad playing I dont know.), plus the lyrics were below what I expected from Metallica, I mean these crap lyrics were coming from the guys who wrote "Nothing Else Matters", "Fuel", "Enter Sandman" and "No Leaf Clover".

So clearly you can see why I was so disapointed to hear the words "St. Anger"(when I dont even understand what thats supposed to represent) repeated thousands of times throughout the song, and the slightly bad english: "I&#39;m really at anger with you&#33;" (or whatever was being shouted) in the chorus.

Me and my dad were in joint agreement when we hoped that the rest of thier new album wouldn&#39;t blow as much as this first single.

If it does, sorry Metallica fans but I think thier time is over if thier next two cd&#39;s suck.

Also to the moron who got the idea Metallica stole "double singing" from Linkin Park, you make me laugh.

If anything LP stole double singing from other bands as double vocals have been around since almost forever. Why would Metallica steal from a band that James publicly said he doesn&#39;t like that much? (although they added them to the concert which is funny).

Basically, trying to convert Linkin Park&#39;s fans over to Metallica as well.

I only have St. Anger (The single) from the new Metallica album.. It&#39;s the only one I&#39;ve heard.. Hence why I asked if anyone knew any songs off the new album I should download..

You can listen to it on Metallica.Com (http://www.metallica.com) in the Media section..

Yeah, and I&#39;ve heard all those songs and they blow. Stop saying moronic comments like "You don&#39;t know rock" and "something is wrong with you" just because we don&#39;t like your band. Sorry, but I prefer going to a concert and seeing a band perform that doesn&#39;t need I.V. bags to live. They&#39;re just old f#cks and are trying to keep that hair-band sound and twist it a bit, but it&#39;s still sounding like Metallica...or crap. Get over it.
Okay, I get that you don&#39;t like Metallica and they just aren&#39;t your cup of tea, but calling them "old ####s" does not help. Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix... all a bunch of old ####s, too?

i dont like metallica or there music...they are getting to old and i think it was a VERY bad idea for them to come back to the music scene cause i bet all the stuff they are going to put out now is just going to flop like every other "old band" that is trying to come back...yea they had their time to shine already in like the 80&#39;s or whatever. And i HATE it when people say "you dont know rock if you dont listen to Metallica..." please give me a frekkin break..Metallica is crap.

I know alot of people that live here are only going to the Sanituranium tour to see linkin park and the other bands that are going, not Metallica.

All those artists you just mentioned actually write good music which to me will always be good no matter what day and age. Sorry, but Metallica had their decade (1980) and that&#39;s done now. Let it go, Metallica boys.

Neo - Fair enough. Your opinion.

Will - I didn&#39;t mention those bands in regards to whether or not they have new music.

I agree with what was said about everyone going to Sanitarium just for Linkin Park and the other bands. That&#39;s how it is around here too. Not many people here are going though, however. We&#39;d all find the money for the tickets, but the four hour drive just isn&#39;t worth it. There aren&#39;t enough good bands vs. bad bands for us to go.

Hell, Linkin Park alone are worth a four hour drive&#33; Not to mention KoRn, Limp Bizkit, Metallica, Deftones and Mudvayne.. I live in the UK so I&#39;d never get chance to go to Summer Sanitarium :(

KoRn rule.. That sucks for everyone whos going..

I&#39;m glad they came back.. If they didn&#39;t, they wouldn&#39;t have made I Disapear for Mission Impossible.. And that&#39;s like one of my favourite Metallica songs.. Sh&#33;t, maybe on of my favourite songs of all time&#33; ^_^
