We're actually probably going to offer two variations of the graphic (black and white) and allow people to pick any color shirt they want. That way everyone is happy.

As for the 'member number customization' unfortunately it's not going to happen. When you sell a product in a store, the printing companies usually use the pre-provided design for the shirt, and thus there won't really be a way to customize. It's a neat idea, but there's no easy way to do it and it's not really cost effective to spend 5-10 extra a shirt just to have that.

If you and your friends want to use the same colour, then communicate between yourselves and co-ordinate it. :)

But it makes no business sense to sell just one colour, considering the varying preferences of potential buyers. For example, I would never buy a green shirt but others may love one.

Just an update: We WILL be making t-shirts. Within the next few weeks or at least by next month there will finally (after 8 years!) be an official t-shirt for LPA. Right now we are just double checking and re-researching our available options for printing to ensure that not only can we keep costs down, but also ensure something of at least above average quality. If we can help it, we don't want to give you guys something cheap so hang tight. We'll have a shop up sooner than you think.

We're aware. Unfortunately I can all but assure you that our shirts are going to be more expensive (probably in the 20s) and that's because we are making the shirts to help with the hosting costs here. We want them for the tour as well, but running this site isn't cheap and shirts were the easiest way we figured we could help make back some of the losses incurred with the hosting bill. As it stands, we only will be making 6-8 dollars on every shirt, which hardly puts a dent in the site's 100+ a month hosting bills.

While we respect that suggestion, it doesn't make much sense to rid the shirt of the URL as these shirts are basically walking advertisement for the site. They're meant to get people to check out the LPA, while allowing people to show their support and pride for the site at the same time. By not having the URL on the shirt, those who have never gone to LPA before are not going to know it's a website, nor actually know what it is. For all they know, LPAssociation could be a shirt designer like Ve'cel. Therefore, since we intended to make these for the NA Tour, it's important that as many LP fans see this URL as possible and go to it. We need new people on the site and this shirt is a good way of helping that happen.

It's not anything having to do with copyrighted material. Sure that plays a part of it, but there's also the issue in using someone else's design on a product that could potentially make profit, and royalties/legal licensing for using said design.

Granted we didn't really make a profit at all from any t-shirts we sold (we made enough to cover hosting for a month pretty much), but anytime there's a chance of money being made, there's the issue of licensing and design royalties. It's a hassle.
