View Full Version : The Matrix: Reloaded
Reloaded opens in North America in 17 days on Thursday, May 15th. Asides from being the 2nd movie of the series' trilogy, it is hyped to be a huge blockbuster. The first Matrix was my fave movie and I just can't wait to see Reloaded.
My question is: are you as excited as I am to see this movie? share your thoughts and post reviews if you like, as long as they don't contain spoilers.

i think we know what most of the responses are going to be.
the more i hear about the Matrix Reloaded, the more my head feels like it is going to explode. i might even pip off school in the after noon just to see it first :D
EDIT: the movie trailer is better than most of the movies i have seen, and that is sad!

(w00t) HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!! (w00t) Matrix 1 introduced a new world to movies. Now Matrix 2 will have those elements and even more. That movie is going to be a blast. From the trailers I've seen, I think this movie beats every movie ever done in USA. I'm seeing it the first day.
"[Neo] has superhuman ability but also has this incredible responsibility." What a great combination... (w00t). That movie is the best action movie of spring. Heck! the best movie of the year. Heck!! The best movie of all times!!!!!!
BTW, the new POD's video is out. The thread is here (http://www.lpassociation.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=87&t=3490&hl=).
If you want to see a matrix commercial advertising "Powerade" then right click here (http://www.methodstudios.com/reeldb_files/quicktimes/541_powa_matrix.912.mov) to save it. It's pretty kool. And no Matrix spoliers! ;)
And if you want to see the Final matrix trailer for Matrix Reloaded click here (http://whatisthematrix.warnerbros.com/rl_cmp/reloaded_final_320.html) (w00t) That's the best one so far!!

But, anyway, i hope smith comes back. I hate the heroes in movies, except for the bourne identity, where bourne is actually the bad guy...

I think that I'll just download it off KaZaA. Theatres are so damn expensive now. Like 12 50 to get in and like 5$ for a drink. And im broke :P I hope that they actually USE session in the movie ie: a fight scene and just dont put it on the soundtrack

the first matrix movie was such an amazing experience! alot of the special effects really broke new ground (e.g. the famous "bullet time" *heh*)
what was also cool was that most of the city scenes were filmed in sydney, australia. and in knowing that, i took pride in the places they filmed because i'd been there in the past few years. heh.
i'm pretty excited about the 'enter the matrix' game too. comes out on the same day as the movie. woohoo :D

The majority of us on these boards must be broke as hell and jobless because you guys are naggin' about prices, which is understandable, but for one movie one time? - come on now.
I personally hope that "Session" is used in the beginning of the movie (hence it being the first track on the album), but who knows. Holy sh!t, I'm getting really antsy about this - I can't wait!!

Word. It's not that hard to scrounge up $5US to go see a movie. If the theatres in the US are like the Canadian ones, there should be a Weekend rate (Fri-Sun) and a Weekday rate (Mon-Thurs) and Thursday would cost cheaper than usual. Thursday is a weird day for a movie to be released, does anyone agree?
I think Session will be used as the credits theme, it seems like a good choice for that.

At Century Theatres and perhaps other chains, there's a bargain-matinee price and a general admission price. Thursday is a weird release date because most films are released Fridays and sometimes Wednesday. I remember Star Wars Ep2 was released Thursday. Back to prices, our bargain price is $6 to $6.25 and general admission is $9 to $9.25. You can bring in your own outside food and save some cash. Make a sandwhich at home, bring a Capri Sun, and then all you spent your money on was your ticket. Use them brains!

I bet that the soundtrack disc won't contain all the animatrix. Maybe just the big, final, long trailer. The dvd will come out on june. I've watched most of them out of nine. I think that's really kool. I'm definitely buy the dvd on June. one of the animatrix is based on matrix reloaded; Final Flight of the Osiris. I haven't see it but I've heard about it. Currently MTV2 is having an half-hour special on animatrix. They show a preview of 3 of them and premier one of them.

Actually, it's just called The Animatrix and each episode has its own title. They do deal with the sequal, but it's not necessary to view them to understand the movie, you'll only be more knowledgeable about the Matrix Reloaded movie - you know, impressive material to impress your friends.
Each episode was drawn by different famous artists. If you guys would like, I could scan and post screen shots of the Animatrix episodes and even each synopsis for each episode. There are nine altogether.
Episode 1: Final Flight of the Osiris (Shown at the beginning of the movie "Dreamcatcher")
Episode 2: Matriculated
Episode 3: Kid's Story
Episode 4: Program
Episode 5: World Record
Episode 6 &7: The Second Renaissance Parts 1 and 2
Episode 8: A Detective Story
Episode 9: Beyond
A few of these episodes have been released. Surf the net.

I saw The Matrix Reloaded for a second time today. I understand it now! You guys have to pay attention because they talk fast on certain parts. The action is okay and really awesome on some scenes, but damn, I thought I was watching The Animatrix at one point because of all the computer graphics. There's a lot of talking and scenes that could have been trashed. "Session" doesn't get played until towards the end of the credits, booooo. Stay seated, because at the very end of the credits is a bad-ass trailer for The Matrix Revolutions. ;)

is the real world, real?????????? neo uses his powers in it, smith is abel to go in it? it is controlled by machines, they keep the 1 persent of humans that would not except the matrix there, so they wont cause problems. then when the time comes, they easily destroy it, is it infact, one of the older matrixes??? they biult on top of, then buil on top of again, and again, untill we have the matrix now?? please this question is really killing me

well i found out that there wasnt a return of the king trailer but a final trailer for bad boys 2. sorry for any dissappointment.
Reloaded was amazing! 10/10!
Although I'm not sure which of the two movies was better, Reloaded really kicked ass. There were quite a few dialogue scenes, but you really need to listen to what they're saying so you can figure it all out. It's really interesting. The battle scenes make up for any boring scenes though, they were amazing. GO SEE THIS MOVIE!
ps: don't be discouraged if "session" doesn't come on first during the credits. it goes: RATM -> Rob Zombie -> P.O.D -> Linkin Park -> Revolution trailer.
Dont put in spoilers!
I am supposed to be seeing it tomorrow... but I dont know if I will be able to see it because there will be HEAPS of people there :(

the first part is what i am saying, they are not really in the real world, it could just be one of the older matrixes, that had been done away with, thats how smith is in that guys head, and how neo uses his powers.
i give it a 8.9/10
really good, just that whole sex/dance orgy scene was unesasary, and stupid, i like the fact they kept sex out of the first one, putting that in there a terribel thing to do. if they took it out, then it could have dropped to a pg-13 rating, and had a widder audiance because of it.
if i find another spoiler in here, the threads getting closed and warnings will be given out. don't ruin it for others, even if you warn about them.

My friends found the movie boring I think because about half way through the movie, they started throwing things at everyone and they were talking and yelling <_< But it was funny because we made lots of people get up and sit somewhere else :D

Some people told me that I was going to be disappointed with the film. That was a lie. I was excited watching the movie from start to finish. This is the best action/sci-fi/thriller film I've ever seen! The second chapter of the Matrix trilogy is a very well updated movie comparing it to the first. First, the action has improved. Tons of action and those Kung Fu techniques are very well done by the actors. Second, the actors. We see a lot of new actors that weren't in the first film and we see the rest of the cast of the first film too. They all were great! And third, the graphics have improved. We see a lot of graphical animations and they are done and used awesomely. Therefore The Matrix is Reloaded! My favorite fight scene is Neo vs. the 100 Mr. Smith replicas. Something that I didn't like was that the story went too deep, so it was kinda complicated to follow the story on Zion, the Sentinels and some Mr. Smith stuff. I hope all of this get cleared up with The Matrix Revolutions, due in November 5, 2003. If was rating this movie from 1 out of 10 would have been 10. It is an excellent flick to keep you glued to your seat with amazement throughout the whole film. I truly recommend this successful sequel!
Matrix explodes at the box office!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Matrix Reloaded launched in 13 overseas nations and earned an estimated $31.9 million. Combined with an estimated $135.8 million from the first four days of its North American release, the worldwide total for "Reloaded" stands at an estimated $167.7 million.
"Reloaded" ($42.5 million) beat the opening day record set by Sony's Spider-Man ($39.4 million) last May. Spider-Man still holds the record for best day in box office history, earning $43.6 million on its second day (a Saturday). Spidey was at $125.9 million after four days, while "Reloaded" has already garnered $135.8 million in that amount of time. "Reloaded" is the biggest opening ($93.3 million) ever for an R-rated movie, beating 2001's Hannibal ($58 million).
Meanwhile, Sony's Daddy Day Care enjoyed a strong second weekend for second place and the mutants took third place with X2, which surpassed the first film's $157.3 million and sits at $174 million after three weeks.

I was not glued at the edge of my seat during many tedious scenes that lacked anything relevant. Sorry, but I don't see how a 10/10 is a reasonable grade.
There's no way in hell this sequal beats the first movie. The first movie is so much more belieavable.
Alright, maybe i'll turn into a discussion thread about Reloaded. sounds good? Spoilers allowed, i guess.
This can't beat the frist movie, but i gave the first movie a 10/10, so Reloaded ties with it.

i like the first one better, but not that much better, this one was way too off the chain, just like the first. it did improve on alot of things, but still, i think the first is better, even though action is waay cooler in this one, its funnier, and so on.......

One of the Wachowski (spelling?) brothers said it would be unfair to judge reloaded without seeing revolutions because the second and third movie were really just a big movie split into 2. However, if I were to grade Reloaded, I would give it a 9. I left the theatre saying "wow," and that was all I asked for. The 2 trailers for revolutions look incredible. The fight scenes made me drool.

He said that huh? Funny, I recently told my friends the same thing, that perhaps I shouldn't be so harsh on this movie since it's not truthfully done as it was filmed as one movie. I guess I think like those directors.

I think that you are wrong. Because on this film you can see more fighting, graphical animations that look awesome, and it tells us more about the matrix. The first movie was the introduction. Always the sequel is better than the original, in my opinion. And as the Matrix (1) on being more belieavable, well, they are both science fictions, so they are not based on any real life or any similar situation on movies. By the way, we dont have the same taste on movies. And I rate this movie 10/10 because it's awesome. And then when Revolutions come out if it is better than it's going to be 11/10 or so....

And I didn't pay money to watch graphical animations or whatever the hell you're talking about. You actually enjoyed the CG? Hoo, boy.

It's not only on the animations. I just said that they had more awesome animations. And that the story has gone deep and more kool fights.

The animations are not cool - they kill the fighting. I didn't enjoy watching a rubber Neo and a bunch of rubber Smiths. Aaack, forget it. You're easily amused, I guess.

that, or your expectations were too high. the first movie was so good that it might have been hard to make reloaded better. in my opinion, it was just as good.
you probably don't understand how hard it would be to put 50 Agent Smiths in the same frame all doing different things. extremely hard stuff.

I heard that in the scene where Neo uses the pole to beat up the Agent Smiths it used more computerizations that in the whole of the first one. ^_^

well, i didn't see 50 versions of the same person fighting Neo in the first one, that makes sense.
one part where they could have done better was the part where the agent stomped on the car.

Yes, an 8/10 is where it stands. Hey, did everyone remember to watch the trailer at the end? All 3x that I saw it, people just left not knowing about it. I knew it had to be there - kind of common sense.

The new TV Spot says that "there's 3 movies to see this summer. Watch Matrix Reloaded 3 times." I might see it again to understand the story. If anyone wants the Revolutions trailer from the game right click the next link and save as. http://hem.passagen.se/fazaa/the.matrix.re...revolutions.mpg (http://hem.passagen.se/fazaa/the.matrix.revolutions.mpg)
