Today, Linkin Park's "Meteora" dropped from #2-#6 on the Billboard Top 200 charts for the week of April 17th-22nd. The top spot was taken by American Idol Finalist, Kelly Clarkson with her debut album, and was followed by 50 Cent in a close 2nd.
Although the downfall may have been a little more than just a small move, there was a positive. Close to 193,000 copies of "Meteora" were sold last week, a 3% increase from last week's 186,000 units bought.
In other related Linkin Park & Billboard news, "Somewhere I Belong" topped the Modern Rock Top 20 charts for a fourth staight week, while the song slipped to spot #3 from #2 on the Mainstream Rock Top 20. "Somewhere I Belong" is in it's 7th week on the charts.
