Ofcourse it's not official yet, but they've been right before. RIP, if this turns out to be true. What a shame.

That is just awful and horrible. I loved her in Clueless. The media blitz is going to be constantly all over this and it's just so annoying and unfortunate. May she rest in peace.

It's been confirmed now Joe.

Man, she MUST have overdosed or something. Healthy rich 32 year olds hearts don't just stop.
It's a shame either way, but celebrities need to learn to stay off the drugs.

Can we wait until the autopsy report before accusing her of overdosing?
Dave Williams (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Williams_%28musician%29) and Darryl Kile (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darryl_Kile) are two notable people I can think of who died at a young age due to heart failure not caused by any drugs. And frankly, it scares the shit out of me that a healthy person with no past history of heart problems can drop dead like that.

I'm with Todd on that one. Dave Williams is a great example too
And she didn't seem like the type to do drugs
that may be just me but still

It scares me too. She was only 9 years older than me. Starting tomorrow I'm exercising on a regular basis and I'm going to try to eat healthier. My brother is 30. If someone two years older than him can die of heart failure, maybe I need to take good care of myself.
And I agree with Todd; let's stop with the disrespectful speculation people. There's reports she had an EXTREME flu or at least flu-like symptoms before she died. She could've had a severe flu (dare I say the first celebrity Swine Flu death?) and drugs might have little to do with it.

If one of the best pitchers in the major leagues, who is likely the epitome of healthy, can suddenly die like that, then sadly I don't think it has much to do with how much you exercise or what you eat. :ermm:
Despite the fact that she's had drug problems before, and an eating disorder, I don't necessarily think it's fair to blame either one at the moment. It's extremely sad that she died, especially given her age, and I agree with Derek and Todd.
RIP. :(

But it will help lower the odds I guess?

My apologies, I should wait until the facts come in.
And yes Derek, it will help lower the odds.

That's probably genetics, i.e. he was probably born with a slight heart problem. And exercising on a daily basis and eating healthy IS the best way to stay as healthy as you can be.
And I read that she did overdose with some medicines.
RIP.

I found out about this 'cause I saw "RIP Brittany Murphy" was a trending topic on Twitter this morning when I got up. I've spent the whole day thinking about how I found out like that ... ;/
I've only seen two of Brittany Murphy's movies, "8 Mile" and "Sin City", where she had, like, a secondary role. I really need to see "Almost Famous", apparently.

Some reports from the toxicolgy have said that the cause of death appears to be "natural"

Doesn't an eating disorder have alot to do with the condition of a heart? It's sad that she passed on, but I'm not going to get torn up about this, or change my way of life because of Brittany Murphy and her maybe natural death, maybe eating disorder/overdose. it's just a celebrity.

Celebrities are human beings too Casey. Any premature death is a great shame, regardless of who you are.

I realize that. The tragedy of this situation isn't lost on me, but I chose to not let it effect me the way others are seemingly letting it. I'm pretty sure someone in my neighborhood died within the last month, and that sucks and I feel for the family, but if they died of lung cancer, it's not going to make me stop smoking.
People are always going to treat the death of a celebrity like it's the end of humanity (see: Jackson, Michael), when in reality it's not. It happens to everyone. The moment MJ died, a dad, a brother, a son, a husband, etc. likely died.
one death is a tragedy, a million is a statistic.

damn I don't know what fucking reports to believe
Some say she was clean others say she wasnt
either way I'm still upset about it
I loved her and her work =/
What's sad for me is the fact that celebrities die so publicly. The death itself, and then the faux-apologetic attitude, the finger pointing, the speculation as to cause of death, the nasty comments...
You can argue that they chose that life, but they didn't choose for society to cling onto other people's lives because their lives aren't pathetic enough, or rather, too pathetic.

That quote was mentioned in an article on Cracked.com regarding that topic, how people choose to care about certain people and not others ...

As much as I want to believe TMZ, seeing as they broke that MJ died before ANYBODY ELSE...I still am skeptical. They are still a tabloid as much as they may break true stories; and it's best to wait till the official report comes out. Right now they still do not believe the death was drug related. Let's respect that.
