Torment
There is a quiet voice inside of myself
That is always trying to talk to you
It has taken itself off of the shelf
To speak to you the words of truth
But there are barriers in between
Speaking through them is impossible
Yet it will soon enough and be seen
And by then it will be unstoppable
These words will make their way to you
Telling you what’s held deep inside
Breaking down the walls to get through
No longer will the words in me hide
I’m tormented everyday without you
Broken without the sound of your voice
Hurting without sight of your eyes too
And now inside I’m left with no choice
I must get inside you to let you know
Else I’ll sit alone in the darkness again
These words to you I must show
So that I may have you in the end
The quest to the treasure is nothing
Nothing compared to the treasure itself
While the quest might mean something
In the end I’ll have you by my side myself
I’m tormented everyday without you
Hurting without the site of your eyes
I need to speak these words of truth
So I can break away from being shy
The world is several shades of grey
And I feel the same way inside
So I’ve got to say it to you some way
