View Full Version : I need everyone’s help.
Well, here’s the deal. I’m in love with a girl — as if you couldn’t tell by looking at my signature — and she knows it. I’ve been emailing her and she’s been replying, but I think she’s getting agitated that I won’t talk to her. In all of her emails, she tells me to just talk to her. I know that I won’t get anywhere if I don’t talk to her, but I’m too shy — can you believe it? — so it’s hard for me to talk to her. But, there’s something else. I think she’s just as shy as I am, because she won’t talk to me — just like I won’t talk to her. I’ve come to the conclusion that she’s like me: open around people she’s not attracted to and shy around people she is attracted to.
I don’t really know what I’m asking, but what’s everyone’s take on the situation?
I think that’s the most formatting I’ve ever used. :mellow:

well,i totally know how you feel...but the only real solution is to get up the guts,and talk to her....if she likes you,then youll both start talking,and make things much easier for yourselves...plus youll get brownie points for making the first move....good luck with her and i hope it all works out ^_^

It's okay to bring a friend along because you're talking for the first time, and not making out.......... So if you were to just bring a friend for maybe the first2 times you talk to he it should make it alot easier.......

Plus, whenever I see her in the halls she’s always — ALWAYS — looking at me. And she looks at me a lot in class as well.

The only thing you can really do is just talk to her. Just like try and think in your head over and over again that she likes you and nothing is ever gonna happen unless you talk to her. It shouldnt be that hard to talk to someone that you know likes you. Maybe you could also try calling her if you havent already.

I do that. I tell myself all the time that if I don’t talk to her I’ll never get her and she’ll never know how I really feel. And I’d call her if I knew her number. She has mine, though, but she won’t call me until I say hi to her. And she knows I’m shy, too. In the last email I sent her, I told her that if she wants me to talk to her so bad, why she can’t talk to me herself. It doesn’t make sense to me.
By the end of spring break I’ll probably have enough courage to finally talk to her. Either the Tuesday I go back to school or that Wednesday I’ll probably talk to her.

I probably wouldn’t be as shy if I talked to her on the phone since it’s still not face to face, but I would be shy. I’d accidentally run into her but all I’d say is ’sorry’ and continue on my way like I did with another girl I like (though not as much as I like Connie). Heh.

I think all you can do is get her number, talk about what going to happen and whatever on the phone and maybe set a time to meet her somehow. Coz if you set a time to meet her you cant not show up :P

like EVERYONE has already said, just go talk to her! talk to her like you would talk to a friend. be casual about it and you can talk about basically anything. like "hey, how you doing?". nice and simple start eh? bring a friend if you'd feel more comfortable. i agree with whoever said that. ask her and her friends to hang out with you and your friends at the park or something.
i asked this one girl out (one of my best friends) and she started to ignore and avoid me because she was too shy to talk to me, it's after of making our friend relationship that we had before really awkward.
i used to be shy, i'm more accustomed to talking to girls now. what i used to do was think out what i was going to talk about with her, and some cool pick-up lines too. (for example: "whoa, is it hot here or is just you?" or, for the more racy people: "my shoes are having a party, want my pants to come down?" :P).
so yeah, try thinking out some things you could talk to her about (happenings in school, things that annoy her, things she's involved in). i find that talking with girls about something they don't like can really bring 2 two people together, ironically. feed and use her emotions to your advantage. :P.

ok will this is what you you do ive been in your situation before, you can feel the attraction and you want to talk to her, we could only tell you to go up and talk to her, but its you that has to be like ok these guys are right. you have to think of it this way, she tells you to come and talk to her so shes expecting it so it doesnt matter, if this was a random girl that you have never talked to and you wanted to do this then yea im just like you shy as ever, but if shes telling you to come talk to her, it shouldnt matter how shy you are because shes basically saying "i enjoy talking to you and i want you!!!" lol. but thats my whole thing on your situation, but best of luck to you man i know you can do it!

Dude let me ask u this: You are not planning to kiss her and to make love to her through e-mails, right? So the only way do do this kind of stuff one day is when you stand infront of her, right? So think of this aspect - eitherway you should face her one day, sooner or later! Personally I think that sooner sounds better than later.

The movies is an OKAY idea, but think about it, WHEN THE HELL ARE YOU GONNA TALK TO HER IN A MOVIE?! Try eating somewhere, even if it's fast food, who cares if it's cheap, as long as you're both having fun and chit-chatting. Go bowling, that's always fun to do with couples. Even though I hate it, go minature golfing, because at least there's an activity to break the ice and talk about it. You can go from ""hey that was a good try" into "my favorite band's linkin park" into "i love you baby, now let's !@$%." ["I kid, I kid"] Hope I helped SOMEHOW.
