Everyday

I'm staring through this paper-thin glass
Wondering if I'll ever have any chance
Looking at you on the other side
Wishing you knew how hard I've tried
Broken apart from the inside out
Wishing you were with me right now
You peer through the glass as well
Knowing that I'm hiding under this shell
You know that sometimes it's hard
Underneath it your heart is charred
You'd like me to be with you as well
Yet we've both gotten up and fell
Throwing away all our emotions
Blurring and distorting the commotion
Someday we can make it all real
Maybe then we can truly feel

Everyday I live my life not knowing what it means
I look through the pain and see my dreams
Realizing just what you mean to me
I'll take your troubles and your pains and set them free

As I peer into your beautiful green eyes
I wonder what it would be like to fly
I'd grasp you and take you by the hand
So we could soar above the sparkling sand
About them all we can fly and be alive
Yet all I can think about is how I tried
I failed over and over, time again
I see what needs to be done but then
I walk into a sea of pain and drown myself
Feeling inside the pain that I've held
I look above and see you fly past
Knowing that I want to make it last
I'm going to win, I can't afford to lose
But now I'm going to have to choose
Either I tell you how I feel today
Or go on suffering some other way

Everyday I live my life not knowing what it means
I look through the pain and see my dreams
Realizing just what you mean to me
I'll take your troubles and your pains and set them free

Everyday I live my life not knowing what it means
I look through the pain and see my dreams
Realizing just what you mean to me
I'll take your troubles and your pains and set them free

Inside my mind I wonder if I'll ever find
Answers to the questions burning deep inside
Frozen to the wall an image of you stays
Knowing that you'd never betray
Deep inside your eyes I'm blinded by your love
Then I look up and see you floating high above

Everyday I live my life not knowing what it means
I look through the pain and see my dreams
Realizing just what you mean to me
I'll take your troubles and your pains and set them free

Deep inside your eyes I'm blinded by your love
Then I look up and see you floating high above

Deep inside your eyes I'm blinded by your love
Then I look up and see you floating high above

Everyday I live my life not knowing what it means
I look through the pain and see my dreams
Realizing just what you mean to me
I'll take your troubles and your pains and set them free

Heh, I was wondering, because you have these spurts where you write four songs in a day, or at least you post them, lol. ^_^

Will, I would say you are pretty good, no lie. Most of the songs I write just rhyme, so you are at least better then me at it.

Thanks. :)

I'm a novice at it, though. I'm trying to incorporate larger words and come up with more words to rhyme with, because most of my songs have the same words rhyming all the time.. lol.

Yeah, writing a song is a lot harder than some people make it out to be, lol.

I notice that sometimes I have to go back through and edit something because I've said the same thing three or four times, or I'll hear a song on the radio and think, "How can I change those lyrics around to make them fit better in my song?" and stuff.

I also do that, like for instance, if I just ended a line with me, four more later ill want another me and it sounds better, so I have to rework the other lines. Not to mention the song has to make sense. I mean, you cant be flying in the air then the next line be eating soup, you need to make it a story of some sort.

LOL!

That happens to me a lot. One time I ended up rhyming "me" four times in a row, and I was like, "No, no that's not good at all," changed it and still didn't like it.

Not to diss LP or anything, but I don't want any song of mine to go:

Why does it feel like night today?
Something in here's not right today
Why am I so uptight today?
Paranoia's all I got left

Yeah, I dont know how LP comes up with stuff like "Caught in the undertow, just caught in the undertow". When I first heard Numb I thought it had to do with fish.
