It is a shame, because there do seem to be people who genuinely believe in it and are happy as members, but the whole organisation is more or less based on exploitation.
A lot of it pretty much comes down to money, anyway... I've done tests at a Scientologist building and afterwards the staff were just like "Buy a copy of Dianetics, buy this self-help manual". It took me about an hour to convince them to let me go but I guess I can't complain now, heh. There's something that disturbed me about the way they seemed so determined just to get me to buy their stuff.

There was an hour special on Panorama in the UK called "Scientology And Me" which led to the guy conducting the investigation to be followed, harrassed etc.

After one of the Anonymous videos, I watched a related video with some crazed Scientologists not allowing some member of the press into a fair they were doing or something.

Three men were following him, shouting things like, "Why don't you admit your crimes, that's why you're here, hiding behind your crimes by trying to create ones we've supposedly done" and, "I bet your a wife beater, a paedophile" etc...

It's all mind games, they have the power to crack people, it's scary stuff.
