So a story was just run that the Associated Press started working on Britney's obituary as early as a month ago, just in case she unexpectedly dies in the near future. They claim that they are not wishing it to happen, but that Britney Spears is such a death risk right now that they are doing what they can to be prepared for her untimely death if it actually happens.
My question is, do you think that she is so at risk of hurting herself that she might end dying soon or at an early age?
As much as it pains me to say this, I would have to say yes. With everything I've been noticing lately (loss of her kids, her increasingly erratic behavior, being taken away in an ambulance for mental issues, and showing anxiety around photographers), I believe she is well on her way to becoming the next Anna Nicole Smith, Brad Renfro or Marilyn Monroe.
All three celebrities listed died at a young age, and two of them were confirmed to have died from some sort of drug overdose while Renfro's death is still under speculation.
Either way it makes me sad to see that the signs with Britney have been there as early as January when she shaved her head, and yet still nobody has forced her to undergo treatment.
Her family, friends and others are letting her act this way and I feel its going to lead to her death. What are everybody else's thoughts on this?
I'll be honest and say I'll be surprised if she doesn't die.

I wish she would just stay home instead of going out into the public eye EVERY SINGLE DAY. She brings everything onto herself. If she needs something, I'm sure a personal assistant could get it for her. A spoiled brat is what she is and she's throwing everything away. I love her music and all but the girl needs to stop living in denial and help herself before it's too late.
What are everybody else's thoughts on this?
1. People need to stop caring so much about her and the rest of our whackjob celebrities and let them be. Why the hell are we even discussing this?
2. I wouldn't be surprised if something did happen.
3. Yes, I know 1 and 2 completely contradict each other

The unfortunate thing is that it probably won't happen. Britney thrives for the attention as much as she despises it at the same time.
She's a spoiled brat like you said and it's going to be her downfall.
She should not be allowed around children.

She should not be allowed around children.
She basically isn't. She's permanently lost custody/visitation of her kids...or at least, until she gets her act together.
I'd like to point out I also wouldn't be surprised to find out she's got some mental condition which prevents her from realizing what she's actually doing. I mean, someone might be able to tell her she's doing something wrong, but her mind might just not be registering how stupid she's being. She's putting herself at risk. And she's also clearly a great role model for her little sister, what with her being pregnant and all.

I know. But I'm talking about forever.
Show up to a damn deposition, you asshole of a mother.
This is horseshit as far as I'm concerned. After years of wanting to be famous she finally broke into the entertainment industry but over the years folded under media pressure. It's shameful of her to act out by taking various substances, especially when she's got two kids. She needs to just cut all the crap out of her life and stop being such an immature bitch. It's absolutely horrifying that she had custody of her children. What madman allowed her to pro-create?
I don't mean to sound so horrible but when children are involved all the crap must be cut out completely and I find it utterly scandelous that things have been allowed to pan out the way they have. I have very little sympathy for Britney and I wouldn't be at all surprised if she took the cowards way out at all. She's been doing a good job of doing that so far.
As far as I'm concerned, if she wants to see her kids ever again then she needs to stop all this bullshit and get her life back on track. Her life has turned into a complete disaster and its up to her to get herself back on track. Even if it means dropping her 'music' career altogether. Life is precious and it shouldn't be taken for granted which is why it makes me sick to see someone piss everything they had, as well as a better future there might have been, away.
What makes me even more angry is the media coverage. I say leave her alone and let her atleast try to make emends for all the mistakes shes made. There are thousands of people with similar cases to Britney, why should she get all this media attention just because she's Britney Spears?
Just goes to show that Celeb culture has it's blessings and it's curses.

Personally, it's just a shame. As a kid, I just remember her being this really pretty popular singer, and it's just surprising how it all turned around on her. I mean, I was never a fan of the media's eye on people with celebrity status, but when it all goes to your head, it's just a shame.
Is Britney Spears at risk? Of course she is. Anyone under the spotlight is at risk for losing their mind and hurting / killing themselves. Britney is closer to the edge than others are and obviously there are several who are similar examples. But it's extremely shocking how close to the edge she is, and just how terrible her situation has become.
When I was younger, I had a lot of respect for her. Such a young person with such commercial success comes off as impressive to me. But when I hear about these things, like shaving your head out of the blue and losing custody of children and all of this random, extreme stuff, you can't help but wonder what the hell happened.
Some people manage media attention really well, but, this is the perfect example of someone who lost it completely. She's at risk, and I, sadly, wouldn't be surprised if she did something to kill herself. God forbid, though.

I don't want to make excuses for her, but I think she's lost her grip on reality so much now that she doesn't even know what she's doing.
The head shaving back in January was a sign that she was starting to crack, now I think she has.
I believe she can't even control her own thoughts anymore. After all, when she was taken away in an ambulance people said she reportedly switched between crying and laughing at a moments notice...a true sign of mental instability.
She's gone off the deep end. That is what we're seeing right now.

...or slept with Fred Durst, or married Kevin Federline.
There's a lot of bad choices this woman has made.

I have no idea why we are discussing this. Just because she's famous? If I had to answer I'd say, yes she could die at a very young age, but I blame the paparazzi. They always fuck it up for celebrities.

I wouldn't be suprised if she had BPD, that's what my sister has, and she's fucking INSANE.

Apparently Simon Cowell has been approached to be her manager because people think that he'll be able to help her and keep her out of the spotlight for a year or so, so that she can get a hold on her life.
I've also heard that she is actually Bipolar but who gives a fuck? A load of famous people are and they get past it by undergoing treatment and whatever. If she just went and got help she'd be fine.
The problem is that she's been a star since such a young age, so I'm unsure that she'd be used to having a (fairly) regular life.
And as for the photographers that she's attacked or whatever... they fucking deserve it. They need to go and get real jobs instead of trying to destroy other peoples lives. Pricks.
I don't care what anyone says, no one deserves the shit that she's been put through by the media and such.
Edit: Apparently she's getting married to some photographer as well but everyone thinks that he's using her so he doesn't get deported.
Edit 2: I don't think you can blame her for what her sister does either... That's just fucking stupid.

The reason that we're talking about her is because, well shit, there's a fucked war in Iraq, people are dying every day, and the least devastating news to hear is what Britney Spears did today.
She was America's sweetheart, the down South virgin with the beautiful voice who had the world at her feet.
And she fucked it up. And we're watching the downward spiral of America's sweetheart. And we're devastated, angry, and yet living vicariously through her despair, since we figure that celebrities have such better lives than us. And this has bee proven false.
Britney Spears has lost her mind. She has switched from her southern drawl to a full on British accent out of nowhere. I mean, a few phrases here and there I can do, but to maintain conversation for hours on end? Cannot do that.
Take for example Owen Wilson's attempt at suicide. He's never usually in the limelight, so to find out he tried killing himself was a shock. We were actually concerned. But Britney flaunts her problems, and I think this is why a lot of people are on the "I don't fucking care" bandwagon.
People did the same thing for Anna Nicole Smith, and might have been a bit more PC about it when Marilyn Monroe was sleeping with JFK and such.
Every generation has the blonde bombshell who goes off the deep-end. Britney's just this one.
She needs to get out of LA, go back home to Louisiana, go to rehab, and find a religion that might actually help her. And then stay committed to it.

Someone just give her the help she needs and put her in touch with a celebrity who has been through the same sticky rollercoaster as her (I'd say drew Barrymore as a fitting example:))
She just needs some TLC and R&R IMO :)
She needs to get off the amphetamines and smoke weed. Seriously.. Adderal will fuck you up, but weed will chill you out, Britney.
