I just heard the intro to the new CD and it is awesome! I think it should have been an actual full length song. The beginning just haunts its way to a prevailing monster that i can't get out of my head. That riff just lets you hang and wanting more.
I think it should have been be a full song, what about y'all?

just can't wait for this album, ive only listen to WID, NMS(live), the rest and GU(live and 1/2 studio). This album is gonna rock!!!! :) hooray for LP.

Wake is my favourite song off the whole album. I just wish it could be longer, while still an instrumental. Too bad the rest of the album isn't like it.

A.06 should have been a full song too, it had amazing potential

if i have a problem, it's that what "wake" leaves in its wake (pun not intended) is not carried on by "given up". what "wake" managed to put down was totally thrown away by track 2.

A.06 is one of the first (more difficult) riffs I ever learned. Should have been a song, maybe I'll rip it off a bit as a sample for a song. Any thoughts?

There is. It's on the Black Album.

I think there should be a full version of Announcement Service Public.

Wake gives that feeling of waking up and I find that really cool.

There's always White Pony by Deftones.

Using Wake for the first track on the album is brilliant. It really feels and sounds like something from Hybrid Theory, or Meteora to me, which is definitely not a bad thing. *sigh too bad this track was so damn short, if only it was a minute longer with some faded vocalizing in the background.

im not to into instrumentals but wake had a certain "haunting" feel to it...which leads me to thinking, what did mike mean when he said it gives a good idea of the rest of the album? the album isn't haunting at all

I believe it's less haunting and more opening up so to speak. They've finally just woken up from a slumber of "easily reproduced music." Mike could mean it like that.

Agree with that meaning of Wake, but in MTM, some tracks are haunting, like No More Sorrow, Valentine´s Day, In Between, and In Pieces
