Ever Ending Story

Linkin Park spent alot of time talking about The Little Things Give You Away, and about it's great guitar solo, but I thought that the solo on In Pieces was alot better, did anyone else think that?
well in the little things, you can hear it sounds more diverse of a solo, in pieces, it sounds more like a WID solo with the same beat and a few changes hear and there, so id go with little things
little things solo is miles better and i think TLTHGYA is there best song to date

In Pieces sounds badass, but Little Pieces has the emotion in it, no matter how simple itis. I'll have to think about it.

From the two songs you listed it looks like you already made up your mind :D

On the first listen I really thought that the solo in In Pieces was better simply because it sounded faster and unlike anything LP had ever done before, but on further listens to the album, I must say that the solo in TLTYGA is far better. It fits the song and actually works as another way of telling the "story" of the song. It carries the atmosphere of the song in a way that the In Pieces solo really doesn't do.

I'm going with In Pieces.
You forgot "neither" as an option.
You forgot "neither" as an option.
It's there now ;)
i chose in pieces cos it came as a great surprise to me while listening to the song...i knew there was going to be a solo but i didn't expect that...both solos are cool, little things is more song fitting but in pieces takes the song in a more rock direction...

In pieces definitely! That solo is a great addition to an already fantastic song;)

In Pieces! I simply love the way it goes from a poppy song to this awesome solo and then rock in the last chorus. Probably my favourite song on the album.

Emotion over awesomeness.

In pieces. It reminds me of SOAD somehow, I just love it.

In Pieces; I like the eletronica feel. I always perferred eletronica over acoustic.

In Pieces makes me think of SOAD as well... Which is always good thing of course.
I can't decide though, theres a lot more emotion in the TLTGYA one. Hmmm...

the solo in the little things give you away is more meaningful, i get chills every time i listen to it, but in terms of skill, definitely in pieces, that solo takes an average song and turns it into a pretty good one.
I chose The Little Things You Give Away - as Mike said that the solo in that said all their ideas for the song out without any words . I love that guitar solo . It's not so many techniques in the solo , but it's really really melodic :)

Oh boy...I don't know. I love both of them...In Pieces definitely is sweet as hell, Brad never rips fast solos like that, but TLTGYA is so emotional, it's just...amazing.
So I don't know...I think I'm gonna go for TLTGYA. =D
Neither. Both of them were equally disappointing to me.

I don't know if it is because of all the hype around MTM but I don't like either solo. They sound good sure, but I don't think either are very good. They sound like over rehearsed licks and not solos.

i went for in pieces, no real reason, i just think it sounds better.

TLTGYA is better because it does tell a story. It fits so well and sweetly into the songs make up. it just builds right up to it

In pieces: just because 'little things' was so ridiculously hyped up and wasn't as good as I'd thought it'd be.
Tbh, Rob's excessive use of the hit-hat in TLTGYA really annoys me on head-phones, not so bad on a stereo, but it's still there.

TLTGYA is one of my favourite solo's to play.
I'm not a great guitarist, but I get a real kick out of playing some things, and that solo has quickly become one of my favourites.

In Pieces FTMFW.
As someone else said, I find it less forgettable. I'm not sure how "technical" it is compared to the others (in terms of difficulty to play, etc), but it just sound so damn cool. The solo in TLTGYA was just overrated in my opinion.

Why are all these old threads from MTM release being bumped? Anyways I think TLTGYA has the far more meaningful solo.
