Alone I Stand
Come and watch me fall from grace,
I’ve always watched you, loved and kind
But I feel your words, they scratch my face,
And your actions now confuse my mind.
I’ve always wanted to work this life,
Into something I could embrace.
I tried to be someone else you’d hold,
But you just watch me as I drown.
And you make me search my soul?
While I suffer here for your attention?
Lost in my thoughts, an empty hole,
No hope for me to gain redemption.
