Do you think that Valentine's Day from Minutes To Midnight sound like My December from Hybrid Theory EP? Its been a while since Linkin Park featured any smooth slow songs like My December, so I was wondering if it might sound similar to My December or the pace of the sound will be closely related. Anyone here wants it to sound like My December?

Just wondering.

I don't think it will be as slow as My December was. And by the way, My December wasn't on the Hybrid Theory EP.

it was on the underground 2 cd and well a second my december wouldn't be too original i'm hoping it is more original than just that

I'm guessing it will sound absolutely nothing like My December.

I'm guessing it's gonna sound nothing like MD, but will be around as slow as it.

Well to me the title of it really give the same sort of Vibe. but when I first saw the track listing i guessed that it would be the Joe instrumental track - cause he usually picks odd titles for this instrumentals.

Was wrong there, but hopefully it'll be better than My December if it is like it. Although it was a awesome song which would be hard to top.

Was there a clip of this song somewhere? If not what evidence is there that this will sound at all like My December?

It will probably sound like something that shallow-minded people would compare with My December.
Btw, I'm listening to the preview of Given Up..

" I given up/ I'm sick of..../ is it.....that you can say
Facing all the way I'm suffocating/tell me what the....is wrong with me..." psh..:ermm:

First of all, I really like your signiature picture because MCR rocks!
Second of all, I kinda would expect V-Day to either sound like My December or Numb. You kinda never know what to expect from a band that says they have reinvented their sound...=]

Mmm.. I would never imagane Vday to be like Numb..
and either like My December..
It's something pop-ish (that's what Chester said).. and to be honest, I've never heard anything pop-ish form the band...
Songs like My December and, loosely, Numb are slow verisons form the band...
I would expect something like Nobody's listening and it's not because the song is pop-ish, but because it's totally different form all the Meteora songs..

who knows?.. maybe it won't be that pop-ish at all..

Valentine´s day is not a pop song, it starts like a pop song and then is just an amazing rock track!

chester said that =)

it'll be around the tempo of "faint", i'm guessing, but not as heavy. to start with. ;)

Yeah, I bought this CD, In the End:Live and Rare, and it has MD on it. The CD has 7 tracks and it was 30 bucks, but I bought it anyway  The CD also has Step Up, and High Voltage, and a few live tracks of HT songs.

if we were to judge a songs tempo and lyrical content from its name...i think 90% of the time we would be wrong.its chester and mike writing so it will most likely be dark, but who knows what to expect lyrically from LP atm?i'm gonna go out on a limb here and take a risk and say it will be about love...anyone else agree?????lol
