Trying to forget the truth

i see it everyday
i dont know how it got this way
what we had was all a lie
every time i look back at it
i see its not ment to be
but i still feel something
im trying to forget the truth

i can see it in your eye
its like an addiction
try a little and then a little more
then i realize i cant let go
i know its over but im still
trying to forget the truth

i will never know when to quit
i have no one to rely on anymore
could you share my thoughts
questions needing answers
all i need to do is ask
i keep telling myself i need to move on
but now i know what ill be missing
