A friend told me about him and what he has done is a pretty crazy story. I thought I'd share it on here.
Before dying from Leukemia a German man known as "The Trainrider" spent the last year of his life surfing on top of moving trains all over Europe. Here is a tribute video which includes footage of him surfing Germany's fastest high speed ICE bullet Train which has a top speed 330 km/h.
The Trainrider's moto was: You can only be free if you have nothing to lose
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MeRUcGw9wnI
The Trainrider had a gang in Frankfurt where they rode on top of trains as a sport.
It's became quite popular in Germany, but in other places too.
Like South Africa (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlRILfmK3HQ&mode=related&search=) or Soweto (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlRILfmK3HQ&mode=related&search=).
It's one of the craziest things I've seen people do as an extreme sport.
The Trainrider did it because he had a cause but the other kids are just dangerous.
Of couse the trains they ride don't gain speeds like the TGV, which The Trainrider rode, but they have been a lot of deads too.
