at my school there was a stabbing. well i graduated but you know what i mean. anyway these were people i know, or thought i knew.

they got in a fight and one kid ended up stabbing the other through the face and in his chest. i don't even know if he died or anything.

and there was this thing going on that people from our rival school were going to open fire at our school on 4/20 and kill us all. and i am being serious. the entire police force was there that day and none of the students were. and this was because of some murder that happened with a couple of 20 year olds from our town that killed a 20 year old from the rival town. but what does that have to do with us? we're only kids.

what is this world coming to? columbine was 6 years ago and people still haven't learned their lesson.

People are never going to learn their lesson. There will always be assholes in the world and hate will continue. I'm sorry to hear about such madness amongst students and I hope the kids learn their lesson.

Someone got stabbed at a house party I went to last firday, these are quite dangerous times. They don't have to be though, half the people who do this do it because of peer pressure, it might sound like a load of crap but its true, half these people like thinking they live in the ghetto and every day is a struggle to exist, I'd like to put them in a real one and see how long they last

Someone got shot in the head because he was deaf. The deaf one pushed someone accidentally and the guy said something to him, and the deaf one said something he didnt understand so the guy asked: "Are you deaf?!" so the guy said "Yes" and then he got shot in the head.

is INNOCENCE even a word these days? people have it and yet... yet so many don't. i don't believe the youth doing this. in India, there have been a lot of molestation and rape cases during parties at colleges....
man, i hate this world...

Fights happen often at my school. I get in a lot of fights. But thats only because my friend gets in one and he's outnumbered.

I wouldn't be surprised if my school is the next Columbine. Really, I wouldn't.

A student at my school got killed by another student, but that was off school grounds.

At my high school, you could expect seeing at least one fight at lunch. But nothing ever turned violent. From what I understood, people always fought over stupid crap. But they weren't serious enough to make the rent-a-cops put down their doughnuts.

At my college, 90% of the students are nerds. The only fighting they do is flame each other on AIM because one nerd kicked the other nerd's ass at Warcraft. The other 10% (I'm in that 10% ;)) are a peaceful bunch for the most part. Although I want to kick the ass of the next prick in this hick town who tries to convert me to christianity.

There hasn't been much school violence at my school, except occasional fighting. However, two years ago a student set up a pipe bomb to go off in a trash can, and it was set for when Homeroom started I guess, so the full crowd of people would be there. I was in 8th Grade then, before my Freshman year, but it was still scary. School Violence is also provoked by bullying often, and it makes you wonder if something like a school shooting could happen...

hopefully, things will get better. its good to know that there are SOME schools that have a peaceful atmosphere, rather than a battleground. iv'e yet to be in a fight, but i know im ready for it. besides, most high school students dont really know how to fight. they just swing their arms at each others faces. we really havent had weapon issues, but there has been mini bats used once. like i said before, i tend to stay out of harm's way. im not the type to start a fight, but i can end one.

At my high school you'll see a fight possibly once a month and thats just usually fist fights. In Australia you don't hear about this sortta stuff i was outraged when i read about everyones school fights it freaks me out.

At my school we'd see a few fist fights each week, but hardly anything that happens *in school* ever turns out serious. Unles you did what I did when some chav started on me in school I just laughed in his face and then like 2 weeks later he pulled a knife out on me in an alleyway, so I run. But I've not seen much of him since because he's been expelled from my school, I'm still yet to find out why though.

At my school, there isn't much violence except for a minor fist-fight every few months. My friend got involved in a small fist-fight but he didn't fight back, but he defended himself. The person who punched him got four days of off-campus suspension and my friend only got one day in-school suspension.

At my brother's high school, there was a bomb-threat but there wasn't really a bomb. Thank God.

There was a bomb threat when I was a junior in High School. A freshman made it because he forgot to do his paper. He got expelled.

theres hardly any school violence in australian schools. just mainly punch ups.

but i think australia is alot safer than the USA because we need to have a license to have guns etc.

im in grade 9. i am known for fighting. i beat the living crap out of grade 12's. i would have to say that i probally get in no more than 2 fights every year. inside, and outside of school hours.

but there are no guns, blades or anything..... sydney (a city of australia) is becoming a gang city. a few months ago there was a neighbourhood of gangsters against riot police. it was one step away before they had to call in the swat team. that was the most violent thing that has happened in australian history.

In my school there's hardly any violence which i think is very good
if there's a fight it's just 2 people not like gangs or something and it won't take any longer than 2 min or so

What if the kids behind these violent acts were facing some trauma?...and then they get expelled, with no one understanding what they have to go through in their personal lives. they have no educational oppurtunities after that...no chance at all...

Its rare when I defend this country, but that's what I'm doing right now.

For your information, in the US, you do need to pass a thourough background check to purchase a gun, even then, the gun isn't to leave your house unless it's for hunting. If you wish to carry a concealed weapon in states where it's unfortunatley legal, you need a license. Don't just assume we're all a bunch of gun toting rednecks, just the 50% who voted for bush are.

However, just like anything, licenses do not prevent criminals from getting guns. There's the black market, they can borrow from someone else, or just rob a gun store.

And I highly doubt that a gang going up against police is the most violent thing in Austrilan history

So what if they were facing trauma? We've all had shit happen to us. That is not an excuse to go shoot up a school. I have no sympathy for someone who gets expelled and then goes nowhere in life. There are options if you're expelled...other schools, get a GED, ect. Life is not over when you're expelled. It's just slightly more difficult.

i agree..
but they are kids...many people in the community take a lot of things they say lightly...they need help.
they see things, no one wants to believe them. they just demand attention. and maybe they never intended to hurt any body. maybe their plan of just getting noticed didn't work the way it's had to...i'm not talking about the bullies. the other kids...

Not that much violence in my school. One time a drunk guy came in and scared girls in the bathroom, but thats it.
