Compare the two choruses:

I did it all for the nookie = Why's everybody so petrified?
C'mon = What?
The nookie = Petrified
C'mon = What?
So you can take that cookie = Step aside
And stick it up your = Just drop that
Yeah = C'mon
Stick it up your = Drop that
Yeah = C'mon
Stick it up your = Drop that
Yeah = C'mon

I don't know... Maybe it's only me :lol:

The very first time I heard Petrified it reminded me of something. I thought about it for a minute and I found the "connection"...

Yeah, Petrified and Nookie are a bit simular, but it's barely noticeable unless you like Limp Bizkit, or you used to love them like I did.

Lol, nice comparison. They should make a Nookie/Petrified Mash of some sort.

i can see the similarities, though i hope you all know it doesn't fit exactly. tempo is much faster on petrified and there is more of a pause / back and forth in nookie than in petrified... just my 2 cents though... interesting observation none the less =O

I didn't say it's exactly the same but the chorus structure is pretty much identical...

They sound nothing alike. I tried saying petrified over nookie and nookie over petrified. Doesnt work.

I decided to settle this by shoving them together.

good job... but in all honesty, to be used as evidence, u'd either have to speed up or slow down one of the songs to match the tempo of the songs... if you do that and layer them over eachother and they are still completey different... i'd say ur right

but right now i still agree structure of lyrics wise it's similar... just like 10000 other songs i know

"blah blah ...
YEAH
blah blah blah
YEAH
blah blah blah"

that style isn't exactly originated by Limp... just for an FYI

I was waiting for this thread. It's not how he says it at all. It's called Call and Answer. That's why it sounds like Nookie. "I did it all for the nookie. C'mon? The nookie." "Why is everybody so petrified? What? Petrified."

It's just the call and answer style that make them similar. That's about it.

That's why the Petrified chorus sound familiar

And it's also the chorus of Method Man's What's Happening.
