Is it just me, or is MTV getting EVEN worse?

OK, so I started watching MTV a little again since it's summer... and wooooow.

Look at all the crap shows they have! That 70's House? The Andy whatever show? Com'n! This is getting horrible! And just now I saw the absolutely horrible new MTV News intro -- can you get anymore cheesy?

Has this been a gradual thing, or did it all of a sudden get crappy? I haven't watched it in a while.

Hell, I actually like the 70's house, Even though I've only seen two shows. I haven't seen the new intro to MTV news yet. But c'mon, they still have the original good shows The Real World, and they'll proabably come out with a new Road Rules season pretty soon. Road Rules RULES!

Well then you've got all those minor channels like VH1 Classic, MTV Hits, VH1 Mega Hits, etc...there's like 10 of them...or something.

Of course, then there's Fuse, the only moderately good music channel. But I'm sure eventually MTV will buy the station or something. Fuse might as well be ''MTV Emo'' anyway. But at least it plays music in between all the commercials and talking...and at least like half the music is decent...

*sigh* I hate music TV these days. It was cool in the 90's when they had like ''Pop Up Video'' and stuff. Those were the days.

I agree, MTV is starting to suck, they don't even play music anymore and litter it with stupid shows like the ''Andy Milonakis Show''. I wish it was better, but I don't think it will ever improve.

I hate the way MTV2 displays the song/artist info whenever a music video begins. I don't care if it's only for five seconds, it takes up half the screen. Whatever happened to the days when all the info was put in a nice, compact little box in the bottom left hand corner? And then during random parts of the videos they tend to enjoy reminding you that

"You are watching [insert show's name here]."

and flash another one of those annoying bars across the screen. Well yes, THANKS FOR REMINDING ME.

Yeah, really. That's what pisses me off about most people on here. If MTV did just play music again 24/7, everyone would be like, "what the fuck? get Mike Jones off my TV every hour!".

There's really nothing to watch besides MTV! I have like no good channels ABC family, Disney channel, HGTV....Well sometimes I watch E and vh1, but that's if I'm REALLY bored with what's on MTV.

MTV is getting horribly desperate. MTV Canada is anyway. Now theyve changed the name to razer in a desperate attempt to attract more viewers. Reminds me of Select (most of you wont know about it. I think it only came on in canada). They changed the name of select to 969 and gave it a new intro. Nothing else about the show has changed. Now theyre taking awesome shows off the air and replacing them with shitty shows. To me, MTV has the ability to become a great channel, but the company obviously arent interested in music. What MTV needs to do is get their act together and put out a couple shows that are music videos only and bring back the classics.
