(BANG) - Jared Leto is dating Ashley Olsen.

The 33-year-old actor has been spotted with the 19-year-old twin in both Los Angeles and New York and sources claim the pair are smitten with each other.

A friend told America's Us Weekly magazine: "Ashley is like a giddy schoolgirl who has a new man."

Ashley recently split from restaurant owner Scott Sartiano, who she had been dating since October last year.

Meanwhile, Jared has previously dated Cameron Diaz, Scarlett Johansson and was most recently linked to teen actress Lindsay Lohan.

Leto and Lohan were spotted canoodling in a US nightclub in May.

But their night was interrupted when a group of drunken revellers sat on the table next to them and got involved in a heated argument - which reportedly threatened to turn ugly.

Jared allegedly acted as a peacemaker and grabbed hold of one irate man, pinning him up against a wall to calm him down until security arrived.
