SANTA MARIA, Calif. (AP) - Michael Jackson's lawyer said Tuesday he is convinced that the pop star "has never molested any child," but he said Jackson would no longer let children or their families sleep in his room.

"He's not going to do that because it makes him vulnerable to false charges," attorney Thomas Mesereau Jr. told The Associated Press in a wide-ranging interview.

Mesereau said he believes that Jackson will continue to be "a convenient target for people who want to extract money or build careers at his expense." As a result, the attorney said, Jackson will have to change his lifestyle and "not easily allow people to enter his life."

Mesereau and his colleague, Susan Yu, spoke to the AP the morning after Jackson's acquittal on charges he molested a 13-year-old cancer survivor at his Neverland ranch.

I'm not surprised, but it's better than more people suing him for child molestation. :P

Yeah, that's true. That's pretty much the reason why he stopped.

I'm still hoping...nevermind. I just...believe he's guilty. And I can't stand anyone who hurts a child.

They should've put him in jail.

I'm not sure if he's guilty, but now any celebrity can get away with anything.

After OJ, that seals the deal.

If not jail, probation, or something that celebrites can't get away with everything. Just some things.

Now, if Jackson were an ordinary guy, not a celebrity, he's probably be chucked in jail. ;)

Put people in jail who haven't been found guilty of anything. Good plan... less chance for crime -- I say we just put everyone in jail, period.

Because you know, if OJ wasn't guilty, then MJ must be guilty!
