Power Meetaal

Does anyone like Power Metal bands such as Dragonforce and Rhapsody? I think they're amazing. The solos in Dragonforce - Fury Of The Storm are great.

Power Metal is fun in small doses. Iced Earth, Blind Guardian, 3 Inches of Blood, Hammerfall and Kalmah are my favorites.

Power metal is some weird stuff and takes some getting used to but I absolutely love Kamelot, Startovarius, and a lot of other power metal bands.

3 Inches of Blood is also pretty good.

Power metal is really not my thing...orchestration followed by a riff AUTOMATICALLY with double bass drums (never heard pure power metal without it) and a high operatic voice and cheesy keyboards. :P

The only band that is power metal that I like is SYMPHONY X, because they take the good stuff out of Power Metal and add more pure metal and progressive metal into the mix. Great band to check out, I'm pumped that they are on Gigantour!!

And I like a healthy dose of Iced Earth too...but Dragonforce and Rhapsody, and Nightwish make me cringe :lol: Although I do appreciate their stuff, just not my style!

I'll check that song out. I only have The Black Halo and I freaking love it. I'm addicted When The Lights Are Down and Soul Society at the moment. Kamelot is by far my favorite power metal band.
