They took his bloody chainsaw, and sent him on his way...
Gregory Allan Despres was supposed to be going to jail the morning folks spotted him hitchhiking to the U.S. border with a bloody chainsaw. His trousers were spattered with blood. Inside his backpack he had a homemade sword, a hatchet, a knife and brass knuckles. He was also packing pepper spray and wearing a bullet-proof vest....

Well, I mean, they can't tell if its red paint, rust or blood...
He was obviously mixing his red paint with his chainsaw, and got it all over himself. So he went and got a flak jacket so he wouldn't ruin his shirt. Then he remembered "I like america" and put all his illegal weaponry into his backpack, and happily skipped across the border.

Theyre dumber than I thought if they cant see a difference between blood, rust and paint. Im freaking colorblind and I can tell theres differences.

Yeah they are stupid. I was at O Hare airport and they barely even looked at my passport before stamping it. At least I think that was customs...it might have been immigration.

actually if u read the whole article it say that they did talk with canadian customs and they consented to let him go and in the us u can not arrest someone just cause the seem strange. you have to have plausible cause. Atleast they caught him afterwards. Just so i don't get chewed out, it was kinda stupid that they didn't notice the blood. I'll give u all that

On my way back from the US, the customs officer just gave a short glance at my passport [I wasn't even holding it fully opened.] and she went on to the next person. Stupid. But then again, they did have a copy of my birth certificate beforehand so yeah...
Apparently they didn't tighten up the borders too well.
That's absolutely ridiculous.
There's no plausible excuse for this. Terrible.
