Phantasm

No clue. I know the prechorus has Mike going:
Cut myself free, willingly stop just what's killing me
And the chorus is sung by Chester thusly:
I feel it everyday, I feel it in my way
I feel it swell up inside, swell up inside
Swallowing me
I heard this song at my friend's house the other day and while it's pretty good I'm not sure what the name of it is. I would guess Swallowing Me but I'm not entirely certain. Anyone else here heard this song? And does anyone know where it's from?
Part of me. ;) And I believe it's on HT EP.

I love the refrain on that song. It's the best on EP besides maybe High Voltage.

The version of High Voltage is probably the worse version of High Voltage. But yah anyways Part of Me is one of their best songs.

As everyone else has said, these lyrics are from the song, "Part of Me" which is on the "Hybrid Theory EP" album.
The reprise of High Voltage is much better than the original version placed on the EP. And the version on Reanimation isn't as good either.

I like the song but I think that part of me demo is better

And the point of this post is...?
The demo of Part of Me is better because it was recorded AFTER the version on the EP. What we know as the demo was on a sampler CD with The Untitled, Super Xero, etc.
Part of Me on Hybrid Theory EP. If the part when it goes ''Cut Myself Free'' is rapped them it's the one from EP, but if Cut Myself Free is screamed by Chester then it's pretty rare because it's the demo.
Is the demo of Carousel also recorded after the original?

Yes it was. The Carousel demo is also much more fine tuned than the original EP version. It has an extended bridge that isn't in the EP version.

Then what would make it a demo? ;)
The demo's come BEFORE the finished version.

I actually don't know... but the Carousel and Part of Me demos DO appear on a sampler CD with The Untitled etc. sent to Warner AFTER Hybrid Theory EP was released.
I've never noticed that.
So you're telling me the versions of "Part of Me" and "Carousel" on the HTEP may be considered demos of the ones that appear on the "Demo Disc"?
They could've been written beforehand and revisited bythe band when they were compiling songs for the Warner disc. I mean, they revisited older lyrics and songstyles with the remixes on 'Reanimation'.

Yeah. It kind of changes what we think about when it comes to LP Discography.
Millions around the world will have to change up filenames...
EDIT: And also, rather than putting an older version of the song on the demo CD, maybe they rerecorded... just not at such a great studio.

High voltage is better on the one step closer single, or at least thatsw my view. and yes, the part of me demo is better, it has chester screaming on the pre chorus "CUT MY SELF FREE!!!!!" :chaz: "willingly it's not just whats killing me" :mike:

"Part Of Me" and "Carousel" were on the EP, yes - following it's release, both tracks were changed recorded again. what makes them Hybrid Theory "demos" is the fact that they were recorded again while LP were called "Hybrid Theory", which essentially makes them demos since they were unsigned.
