If I were picked to choose the bands that'd be on PR 06 I'd choose:
Linkin Park
Velvet Revolver
SOAD
Atreyu
and Deftones (or taproot, I can't decide)
Supposedly LP are already thinking of Velvet Revolver for the next PR, that's what someone told me and this person knows TONS about LP and he's never done me wrong.
Cale.

im pretty sure Velvet Revolver wouldn't want to tour with LP. As much as i'd like to see it which band would headline? I don't think Weiland would support a nu-metal band on tour.
Dušan

i think they should have the offspring as a headliner. so what if it's their tour? it doen't necessairly mean that they have to headline.
they should also pick lostprophets fpr the main stage. as far as the second stage is concerned simplistic is the right choice
Linkin Park
Deftones
Funeral For A Friend
Incubus
Finch
Fightstar
now that would be a show... ^_^

Chester's good friends with the lead singer from Velvet Revolver so I don't see why it couldn't happen. Slash is the only person who really has a problem with it and lets face it Slash complains about alot of things.
Anyway heres my idea:
Linkin Park
Metallica
Jay-Z (if somehow LP convinced him to do a show)
Papa Roach
Hoobastank
Puddle Of Mudd
Trivium
Killswitch Engage
KoRn
Snoop Dog
That would be almost as good as Download Festival :D
linkin park
lostprophets

hoobastank
foo fighters

What I'd love; Nine Inch Nails, Linkin Park, Finger Eleven.
What's more likely; Linkin Park, Evanescence, Taproot, Cold.

LP toured with Stone Temple Pilots in 2001 and Chester's great friends with Scott Weiland.
Anyway, I'm assuming LP will continue with the 2 stage thing, so...
First stage:
Linkin Park
Muse
Velvet Revolver
D12
Funeral for a Friend (I think they should've been first stage last year)
Second stage:
Orgy
From Autumn to Ashes
Jurassic 5
No Warning (They kicked ass last year)
Streetlight Manifesto
This probably isn't even close to what will happen, but I'd pay good money to see it. ^_^

Projekt Revolution '06
First Stage
Linkin Park
Incubus
Lostprophets
Muse
Second Stage
P.O.D.
Papa Roach
Jurassic 5
Simplistic
Crossfade
A lot of rock on the first stage and more of a hip hop influence on the second.

Chester: I believe diversity is an old wooden ship used in the Civil War era

Anyway, I remember back at Metallica's official BB when they announced the line-up for Summer Saniatarium 2003 and hot damn, there was a hate-fest brewing. I'm sure alot of people here know how ignorant Metal fans can be.
If you can't remember it was:
Metallica

What are the odds of NIN asking to play PR?

That lineup actually has some chance of actually happening. Only thing is, Chino Moreno would most likely be pissed off if he had to play before more than one band, and there are credibility issues with SOAD. But if my memory serves me well, they've toured with Limpbizkit in the past.

Come on kids... suicide is bad.
In my opinion, the best show would be possible withOUT LP in it. They even said they want this tour to be yearly, and not have them necessarily headline or even on the tour.
With LP out of the way, the setlist will get a lot interesting and enjoyable IMHO.
I mean, PR without LP won't necessarily be bad. I mean, we're not talking about Lullapalooza without Jane's Addiction, here.

Linkin Park
Muse
Deaf Pedestrians
Green Day
Metallica
Drowning Pool
System of a Down
Nine Inch Nails
Rob Zombie
Rammstein
Korn
Gob
Skindred
What's most likely to happen:
Linkin Park
Hoobastank
Korn
Skindred (??)
Muse (???)
So...yeah. not likely for me to get my wish this year. They hand out with too many pop-ish bands and not enough heavier bands for my liking...but I still love LP and would go to the show anyways...just to see my Phoenix.

i can't really come up with a full lineup, but maybe Team Sleep would be good if LP could get them, they're great live. maybe Slipknot, though they're not that good onstage.
also, it'd be awesome if LP performed more covers. speaking of that, there are a heap of songs they don't usually perform which i'd like them to perform... alas, the list is too long

Almost all of these ideas are unrealistic and would never happen.
Think about the purpose and meaning of the Projekt Revolution tour. Then look at who Linkin Park has had on the tour with them before. Then propose a realistic idea. Sure they are ideas. But they are fantasies.

how about:
Main:
Linkin park
Shadows Fall
Korn
The Game
Fall out boy ( gotta have some diversity but they are actually very good live)
some other NWOAHM band like shadows fall ( LoG, In flames) just to balance it out.
Second:
Killswitch Engage
Breaking Benjamin

Trivium
Some other good rap act.
Now, i know it won't happen but if something like that were to ever happen i would pay big bucks to see it

First of all, Linkin Park isn't going to be on the tour every year, let alone head-line the tour.
Second of all, Disturbed is not heavy-metal.
Third of all, Sum 41 is DEFINITELY not heavy metal.

How you got the idea that my post count actually meant something to me is completely beyond me, Nicky. It's just a number, and that's what I see it as.
Now, my question to you is what's wrong with dreaming up an unrealistic bandlist? So they aren't going to happen, big deal. It's a man's right to dream, isn't it?

Almost all of these ideas are unrealistic and would never happen.
Think about the purpose and meaning of the Projekt Revolution tour.* Then look at who Linkin Park has had on the tour with them before. Then propose a realistic idea. Sure they are ideas. But they are fantasies.
EDIT: typo.
Hey there champ! Good to see that you realize what it is, cause that's what it's supposed to be: an idea thread. Now quit complaining.
Dude, all you do here is criticise people. You act like your post count makes you the shit all the time. I was just asking, more like proposing, the concept of posting realistic ideas.
[/b][/quote]
Hehe ur cute! There's nothing wrong with dreaming up an unrealistic band list. I just threw my wish for people to think of realistic lists out there. I prefer the concept of the real ideal lists because it makes me wonder if they could actually happen. But if people want to put their dream lists up, go right ahead.
