"Meteora" Lyrics

For the entire afternoon I'll be personally transcribing lyrics from Linkin Park's live performance in Nottingham, England Monday night where they played "Don't Stay," "Somewhere I Belong," "Lying From You," "Faint," and "From The Inside." I will work hard with what I have to get the most accurate lyrics from these live performances.

But, remember: These are only temporary and may or may not be 100% correct. Until Meteora comes out none of us can be too sure. :)

Change "Just give me my life back" to "Just give me myself back". Mike's part in the chorus sounds exactly the same in both parts to me.

Anyway, the new lyrics are done and are 100% accurate (for now) in my opinion. Once we get clearer versions it'll be easier.

i know that they say "felt" 'cuz Chester mouth is like an F when he is saying that part. plus I put the closed captions of my tv when the vid is on and Chester says "felt". Also, it's "wanna" instead of "want to."

Honestly, now that I think of it.. it can go either way..

"I want to let go of the pain I felt so long"

OR

"I want to let go of the pain I've held so long"

Think about it.. it's more than likely "I've held" than "I felt," though. It makes more grammatical sense.

Plus your mouth makes sort of an "F" looking thingy like Linkin Master said when you say "I've" too.

In the Hybrid Theory album booklet, the lyrics for 'Crawling' are wrong. ;x. But that's not their fault so why did I bring that up :lol:

You can hear an "f" sound during the first part of the chorus. Just because the official lyrics are announced, doesn't always mean that they say that in the song. In Project 86's CD Booklet for "Drawing Black Lines", I noticed about 7 or 8 parts on the Cd when there were lyrics that weren't said in the song.

LP didn't print those. It says "reprinted with permission" after the lyrics.

Akuma, in regards to you getting all pissy that your lyrics were said to be wrong, get over it. What you don't realize is that Linkin Park, sometimes, when playing live, don't stick with their written lyrics. I've heard With You with a few words changed around lots of time, same for some other songs, though right now I"m too lazy to come up w/ some examples besides With You.

Ok, my bad. I've listened to SIB again, and I know where the "f" sound comes from in the chorus. "I've" and "held" kind of flow right into each other, and create an "f" sound between the two words. What Akuma has posted up in terms of the SIB lyrics is correct.
