I for one, hope and know that most likely, the album won't be censored in any way. I hated how songs on LPU cds were censored during songs, same with Live In Texas.
I also hope that the cover art is more pimp than the splash screen.

Good point. No censorship  I hope that it will have some emotional stuff, a bling money ho song just to piss of the fans and songs like Step Up :D

I dont think that it's going to be censored because judging by the fact one of the lyrics was:
"Now everyone be wantin guest spots, shocked/when they heard he was fucking with s-dot."
It clearly shows that this album is going to be uncensored. Honestly, I want Mike to write some really good lyrics that shock and/or blow people away. I'm very pleased he's making a love song because it'll get to show Mike's sensitive side, and how he would've been if Linkin Park didn't hold him back.
I want some fierce flows, a great sound, and just honestly something that'll blow me away.
Hopefully that's what I'll get.

I know Mike has said that it isn't going to be a rock album, but it would be cool if there is couple of tracks with some heavy guitar. I wouldn't be surprised if Mike turned out to be a good technical player.

As long as they don't have ''Mike Shinoda'' ''The Rising Tied'' or ''Fort Minor'' repeated over and over, especially by a guy with annoying voice, im sure this cd will be alright. ;)
I like rap, but I hated the raps on Reanimation.
I would say this is going to be a good CD, but nothing special.
BTW, where do you get this love song from mark?

The album production better be fuckin' ace.
Mike's doing practically all of the instruments in the beats, so I'm sure there will be some guitar incorporated.
Judging from the text previews we've been given, I know that Mike is doing a lot of different types of songs, but I also hope that he doesn't try to go for what was up with Meteora, the whole "interconnected" thing. Screw meshing well together, let's hear a mix of different stuff.
I wanna see what he does with that string loop from the teaser page. (w00t)
EDIT: I Don't Need No Accuser: It's in the Ballerstatus article in the News section. They go through a description of five songs.

Same here, man.
I'm hoping that Mike really does go beyond the expectations on the album. He's good at that, and I know he won't fail in doing so. I would like to see songs on that album like "Step Up" and "It's Going Down" and "High Voltage." And now that you mention the love song, Derek, I think it will be quite interesting. I would like to see the sensitive side of Mike Shinoda.
And since it will be uncensored, I think the album will be better and not so watered-down and restricted. You can't see much creativity in those albums. Mike has amazing talent, and I don't want a stupid record label to hide it. I want him and all of the artists he is collaborating with to go all out and make a hell of an album.
And referring to the love song again, I doubt that Linkin Park was the one holding him back, really. It's just the concept of Linkin Park which is holding him back. Have you ever heard of Linkin Park making a love song? I mean, With You is a song of lost love, but I doubt it's considered to be a true love song which you would show to your girlfriend or boyfriend and they would automatically get back together with you. I know that's a bad example, but back to the point. Linkin Park would do that if they were just open to new ideas and didn't go under the restrictions of the Warner Bros. label. It would have been better if they went independent again.
Anyway, I hope Mike does well on this album. I think it'll be an excellent solo album.

there better not be anything about hos, bitches, drugs, escalades, spinners, ferraris, lamborghinis, mercedes benzes, bling bling or cash money on this album. Also, no dissing on other rappers. now theres a reason why this album is by 'Fort Minor' and not by mike shinoda. With all the guests on this album how could having a single member of LP affect whether this this is a solo album when theres already half a dozen guests on there.
I never actually heard mike say the word solo before. Maybe im wrong.
I really want Mike to make a song dedicated to the shit talking bunch who judge him based on what he has done with Linkin Park. Other then that, the beat, flow, and lyrics need to be top notch.

I consider solo work completely alone with no guest artists (kind of like with Chester:Morning After and System) so I'll have to say collaborations, but I think this is more along the lines of what he did with the X-Ecutioners, only other LP members probably won't be involved.

You do know that System was done with cooperation with Jonathan Davis, right? Since it was his song originally.

04-19-2005, 10:12 PM
Yeah I knew that. Davis couldn't appear on the album for contract reasons but he did the track during the movie, but I still would consider it solo because although Davis wrote the song Chester performed on it alone in the album version but anyways...that's off the topic a bit here, I just mentioned that because LP has not really had too many truley "solo" projects and this will be more of a collaboration in my opinion.

Except that MIKE SHINODA IS HALF-ASIAN!
Tool.
I was about to point that out...
Us Asians are not white, God damn it.
well...i m asian too. ;) [/b][/quote]
but 50 has good production back-up , so he will probalby score for a while , his first cd power of the dollar was much better lyrical in my opinion , so he can if he wants ,, but he don't nee it anyymore all his songs become club bangers so the lryics doesn't really matter

 oops :P , just wanted to say somethin postive about 50 :P
what i would like to see from Fort MInor is something completely out of the blue. something that sticks out when you play the tracks.
kinda like when i listened to meteora for the first time and nobodys listening appeared. i was expecting loud guitars and stuff and it just didnt happen.
mike has the skills to do basically whatever he wants on this album of his - and i think he is going tro seize the opportunity which he has been given to do a great job.
whatever the album sounds like iam sure i will like it.

No your not, you're yellow :D
Just kidding, I really don't see why it would be cool to see two white guys rapping, I mean if you wanted that then why not Vanilla Ice? That's because its not about the colour but the quality of music, and I hate Vanilla Ice!
I'm Asian too, but not from the far East, I'm a sand ******/camel jock! (If you didn't get that, it was me making fun of myself.)
I really want to see a song about bitches, hoes and money with Mike rapping in it too, it'd be hilarious!
