It's very chilling. Especially the parts that have to do with the Ghost Town.

This town might be an attractive place for tourists. Some tourists companies have been trying to arrange tours in this town, but the first group of tourists found the silence unnerving and downright SPOOKY. And it is. They charged 1200 hryvnas for a 2 hour excursion and after some 15 minutes, they wanted to flee to the outside world. The silence here is deafening.

Crazy...my job in the Air Force actually deals with this, we handle WMD response so I recognize many of the terms used; I checked out some radiation detection equipment just tonight and made sure to wash my hands after touching the test source lol.

Wow. This is a great insight on life under the Iron Curtain, through the worst of the accidents it must have seen.

Some of those pictures give me the creeps. That's just crazy.

That is truly amazing. While certainly a tragedy (one which I had never heard of until now), seeing the town so amazingly preserved, reminds me of pompeii. I'm sure being there brings such a rush of both awe and fear at the same time. I would love to go through that area.
