What sites do you guys use for torrents? I was a big SuprNova fan until it got shut down, and torrentspy just doesn't do it for me when it comes to music. Torrentspy is probably the best for TV shows and movies, but does anyone know a decent torrent site for music?

I use regular BitTorrent for downloading the torrents from the net, but I've heard of programs with built in torrent lists accumulated from all over the place. Care to name any?

Yeah Azereus is good. You can easily limit your uplaod/downlaod. It's user friendly too.

Not like all that commercialized/fancified bittorrent crap out there now.

A torrent is used with bittorrent, it's a small file your torrent client uses to connect to the 'tracker' a server with all the listings of who's sharing the file.

I hope you all realize that torrents are illegal and that the site is forced by the MPAA/RIAA to list all IP Addresses that have downloaded torrents from them.

I have just realized I misphrased what I said. I meant to say that the file you get from them is copyright infringement. In Canada, it is still legal to download, but illegal to upload (not sure why). The torrent itself is legal, the file you get from it might not be (Depending on what it is).

azureus is the best torrent program by far. Ive been using it for more than a year now and after tryin most of the other programs i can safely it is the best.

to anyone wanting to try exeem, i would think twice about it. Apparantly it comes with some of the most notorious spyware you can find on the net.

The sites i mainly use is:
torrentspy.com
isohunt.com
torrentsearch.com
mininova.org

I'm going to add something else:
The odds of getting caught with bittorrent are so low, its probably woth the risk.

There're not many ways for torrents to actually be tracked.

The only way to find out who is downloading what and who is uploading what is to actually connect to the torrent itself. Even then, the torrent can still survive without the original uploader, so that is slashed.

Furthermore, in order to connect to those who are downloading/uploading, the MPAA/RIAA must connect to the torrent itself, which means that they too are downloading/uploading, as one can't connect to a torrent without down/uploading. Only by participating in the illegal activity itself and, in essence, pushing the torrent to run better can the companies track you down, and last time I checked, you aren't allowed to be involved in a case where you yourself are involved... it's a conflict of interest.
