over and over again i hear,
that constant ringing in my ears,
mumbling behind my back,
seize just as i turn to act,
haunting me, forever more,
these words I choose to just ignore,
My mind will be, to them all, shut,
I hold the knife but refuse to cut,
hateful words they say to me,
stinging like a honey bee,
hurting me, this poison burns,
and just to think...this came from words,
running now, I grab the key,
as I unlock the door I do decree,
i'll keep their lethal words at bay,
Never again to on me prey,
Turning now I shut the door,
quoth the raven : nevermore
