This has always bothered me since I heard Xero's tracks and their horrible quality. There isn't any "tape drives" to record from, so how are tapes ripped?
If you're bothered by my ignorance, I'm really sorry, I am bothered by it too.

instead of ripping those tracks from the tape why don't you download those 4 songs instead.I did that when my original Xero tape got crushed recently

I don't have the tape, I have just downloaded the tracks from the Internet. But the tracks sound pretty bad, and I guess it's because of a crappy ripping. I wish I had the tape, not only to listen to the songs better, but also to rip them properly and share them and get the crappy ones outta the Internet (they piss me off).

It isn't from the crappy ripping. The ripping was fine. The equipment that LP used to record those tracks were shit.

Yeah they had a small budget not the kind of millions that they spend on recording now-a-days.Besides they recorded it at Mike's house .So the quality of the recordings is bound to take a beating

If you supposedly had the tape, why in the hell would you let it get crushed? Something thats worth around $2,000 should be better taken care of.
