A Figure in the Storm
I can see it coming in the distance
The wind howls louder as the dust is kicked up
And no one here is ready for its evil presence
The air is heavy, much like the emotion in the room
And as the storm draws nearer to us all
We feel the ground shake and see the darkness of the moon
Now it comes upon us all in eerie silence
In the dead of the day and the calm of the eve
It brings about its destructive violence
Through the crack of the door I can see the storm
I can see the windows breaking and the debris flying
But in the mist of all the chaos, something took form
A figure in the eye composing the mayhem around us
Dark was his silhouette and evil his gaze
Then disappear he did through the cloudy haze
And took with him the storm of his own making
Yet the destruction he caused he left still remaining
Someone must have disturbed the sacred ground
Someone must have whispered the forbidden sounds
For it is written that thou shall be slain
If he hears even a mention of his name
The Storm hath passed through
And all is calm once again
Just who dare betray us, was it you?
