As we all know a band member(guitarist) of a band called Damageplan was shot dead while performing live by a fan(fanatic),3 other people were killed and several injured by the shoot out more than a month ago. What other incidents do u know where fans have turned voilent and hurt other people and even incidents where band members have acted voilently. Why do u think people act voilent to the people whom they admire/worship.

I remember hearing about how some kid set off a flare from the balcony during an LP concert in the middle of "It's Goin' Down." I don't know if anyone was hurt, but they had to stop the song and let security take the kid out.

When Korn was playing a concert with Megadeth someone threw a knife at Shaffer [one of the guitarists]. Luckily it didn't hit him, but instead missed him by mere inches and struck his guitar cabinet.

I think The Vines have had their share of violent acts onstage as well, but more between themselves than between the fans. A couple years ago the vocalist and the bassist broke out into a fight once while they were performing in Boston and fell into the crowd.

As for the last question: I don't know. They all have their own reasons. The guy at the LP concert was probably just some jackass wanting to have a little too much fun. The guy at the Korn show was most likely some narrowminded hater. Who knows.

And if I remember correctly, Mike just blew up when he saw it happen, he started yelling and cussing and all that good stuff.

I think it could be because The Vines are the worst live band of all time.
