From Despair to Hope

I think it's all over
I think I am lost
I need to find shelter
From the cold and the frost.
I try to find cover
In the midst of this storm
I seek hope, I seek love
I seek feelings long gone.

I live for myself, by myself, in myself
I let no-one come near- I am alone
I let no-one see me, or touch me, or feel me
I hide within walls I've built- walls of cold stone.

It rains, and I'm glad
The sun shines, and I'm sad
I've lost the meaning of happiness
I'm driving me mad.
I have no-one to turn to
For the walls stand strong
I have no-one to turn to
I've had no-one all along.

I think I shall end it all
In my dungeons tonight
I'm tired and weak
I'll give in without a fight.
And just as I prepare
To give in at last
You break down the wall
I see sunlight at last.

It sounds like a sad poem but it's really good.
