"Connection"
Don't have a mic or any musical equipment
No drums, no guitars , not even a guitar pick
This is about as far as I'm gonna get
Sitting right here, writing rhymes like this
Not sure I have the right to call myself an emcee
Just because my lines rhyme doesn't mean it all goes together perfectly
I don't have the talent or the time to make this a career
I'm just writing and rhyming about the life that I'm livin
And I'm just waiting and hoping that all y'all hear me
I'm not really a fan of rap, cause I just can't dig it
Most of the rap I've heard is pure shit
I don't want to hear about how they all got gold teeth
Rolling on 20 inch dubs and gettin all the honeys
Takes more than that to impress me
I'd like to do something with these lines I write
People keep telling me they all sound sorta tight
But I'm not the sort of guy to get an inflated ego
I know that what I write is alright but it's not excellent so
I keep challenging myself to write better
All the words and the letters, keep them together
Form them into something that just might take your breath away
But like I said I'm no Mike Shinoda
And Tupac in his grave is probably flopping over
But I'm doing this cause it's what I like to do
I write these songs for me and I write them for you
Cause I know that what I write about people can relate to
And I know I'm no different than the rest of you

All my thoughts and what I feel
Turn into words in front of me
And I'm doing what I like to do
I just hope that I'm connecting to someone
Reaching out lyrically hoping that just one person
Likes what they read and can connect to me
Like I said before I'm a normal guy
I can rhyme words together but that don't make me fly
And phat and all that other crap
Don't wanna get famous, just want some feedback
I need that, cause I wanna know if you like what I write
And if you didn't don't bash or trash or flame away
Tell me what's wrong and I'll try again another day

Happiness, sadness, relief or rage
It all comes from inside, all from the same place
The human brain is a complex thing
String along words so they can connect to the next sound
