PS3

Sony has cryptically announced that the Playstation 3 will be in playable form at E3 in May, although it is uncertain whether there any actual titles will be present, or just tech demos. Additionally, Sony will make an announcement about the system at the end of March....

I think I saw some screenshots of 2 games for the PS3 a few months back on another board.

One was a football game, and the other was a driving game. It had a yellow car.

Both looked very realistic, and looked like something that might be on PS3. Then again, could have been a screenshot from a current PS2 game that was just labeled a PS3 screen. I wouldn't know, since I don't play sport or racing games.

Oh well, either way I'm hyped about this. I'm a major PlayStation fan.

The Eagles and Falcons screenshot is UNBELIEVABLE. From far away you can't even tell it's fake. I mean seriously, put the last PS2 football game screens next to the PS3 football screens and there is no comparison.

I'm going to save up money now because if these are really PS3 screens I want to be the first in line to play them.

I think the first screen shot might possibly a Grand Turismo 4 screen. And the second shot looks like a digital painting to me.

As for the PS3, I am pretty excited to see what it will be like.

The second "screen shot," as Aaron said, is a digital painting. If you can't see that, you haven't seen many digital paintings. Unless the PS3 is going to have graphics that look like digital paintings.

"The Cell" isn't even close to being completed. I HIGHLY doubt that PS3 will be playable at E3 unless Sony pulls something out of their asses.

The screens Casey posted aren't from PS3. The first one is from Grand Turismo 4 (Yes, it looks THAT real) and the football one is a concept EA did by just fooling around with the specs of the PS3. If you read the latest "Electronic Gaming Monthly", they explain those screens.

They were released by EA to give people a rough idea of what next-gen graphics will look like. They are not from either next-gen console.

They were Next-Gen concept pictures from the company's, not screenshots.

Yeah, those were in a recent issue of PSM. The writers said that they were just concept art for what the PS3 will possibly/probably be capable of. The car one is supposed to be what Next-Generation Need for Speed will be like, and the football one being a PS3 version of Madden.

Some are too ambitious, and others are too hopefull. I dont want to see FMV-looking screens. I want game footage. If it's a racing game, where the fuck is the HUD? This is the exact same thing that happened for the PS2.

I read they were going for a release date somewhere around there and XBOX 2. But I highly doubt there will be a second XBOX for a long time to come.

I've had problems with my PS2 twice, but a disk doctor has fixed it both times. No need to buy new ones.

I've had problems with my PS2, but it's always been dust in the disk-tray, or my CD's are too scratched up, and I've had mine since the PS2 first came out.

Perhaps your friends just suck at not breaking shit, eh? :P

Same here,although my xboxis a different story...I've had to buy 3 xbox's because of that damn hard disk.And every time it deletes all my valuable game memory!!! :angry:
