This is beyond devastating. Whole areas just...gone. I never thought I'd see a disaster of this magnitude in my lifetime, but now that I have I am beyond words on what to say.

there were pictures in the local newspaper that were worse. i have no way of getting them though. there were in the Buffalo News. thats crazy

Frightening indeed. I'd hate to see the before and after pictures of that mega tsunami that's supposed to hit the east coast of North America, though (See 'Next Tsunami?' thread made by Chris. It's near the bottom of the page).

Yah when you see thses pics you just wanna think that there is no way this can be real. It seems liek something that happens in a movie or something. But i mean the reality is that it actualyl happened. I dontated a dollar towards the fund when i bought a hockey stick the other day then i also donated another five when i bought some stuff at wal-mart yesterday. But yah I wish the best to the people who have had their lives changed by this horiffic event.

Absolutely horrible. I can't believe it.. all the devastation... my God. And it's even sadder that I am afraid to donate money.. I really dont want to donate if it's going to go to some sicko that's pretending. I just really need to donate though, my school should be responsible enough to pick the right charity.

I've been thinking ... no offense and all but why does the red cross donate money to the victems? I mean everything's been destroyed , its not like money will help them get whatever or whoever they lost... Money just wont fix things in the terrible situation.. I think the people there need comfort and support to what went on..
