I posted this already in another thread, but this gets more attention then a post.. right?
This thing is going to fall down in the ocean and will cause a mega tsunami
http://members.lycos.nl/lpchrizzle/tsunami1.jpg
Then, it will hit..
http://members.lycos.nl/lpchrizzle/tsunami.jpg
I got the pics of a magazine made with my webcam.
If there's a earthquake near or in La Palma, it will cause a landslide. Because of the landslide, the 500 km³ piece of land will fall down in the ocean and will cause a wave of 700 metres high. After 10 minutes the water has reached the speed of 250 km/h. Marocco will get a 650 metre-high wave. 9 hours after the landslide the wave reaches the eastside of America and will cause waves that can reach to 30 metres or higher. Manhatten dissapears, Florida and the Bahama's will litterly (??) dissapear from the map. One hour after the landslide the wave will hit Portugal and Spain, the South of England and the Netherlands. It can happen tomorrow, but it could also happen next millenium.
I typed the important stuff from the magazine.

Interesting. And a bit worrying. What magazine is this?

you know what?
the reason the tsunami hit in the first place was because the Hindu religious leader got arrested for murder. we all know that he would never hurt even a fly, but it says in one of the Hindu Bibles that, "if the religious leader was ever to be arrested (or something of that sort) a tsunami will hit because arresting the religious leader is like arresting god. would anyone do that?
it's all been planned out in the Hindu Bibles. Everything that happens is fate -_-
just sharing what i learned

Yeah. Thats logical.
I highly doubt there's a mentioning of a tsunami in any bible.
People constantly try to cope with large catastrophic events by referring to oddball messages from their bible. Apparently 9/11 was prophesized in the bible as well.

HAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAH
Oh wait sorry, you were serious.
Welp that's it folks, our fates are decided for us. I guess I don't have to work in college cause if I'm fated to do well everything will fall in place. Or I could lock myself in my basement since that special someone who I'm fated to be with will show up regardless. Sounds great. Apathy to the max.
Interesting article.

From what I've read, 9/11 was not mentioned at all.
If this happens though, there is no doubt that Eastern United States and Eastern Canada will be crippled. England will probably get a good portion of the wave, but I think it'll be able to recover. Actually, scrap what I said about England. They're doomed. The death toll in the US and Canada alone will most likely go into the millions, even with the fact that we'll have 9 hours to evacuate.
This is going to be huge, and I hope that I won't be alive when it happens.

Actually, I do think tsunami's are mentioned in the Bible, but it's not saying it'll destroy half of our world or something.
Also, Nostradamus was the one that supposedly predicted 9/11, but his prophecy was taken out of context by people wanting an answer that was better than the actual one. Basically, he did predict it, but not exactly. His cordinates were off, IIRC.
If this does happen, it probably won't happen in our lifetime, so.. yeah. If it does though, there's no point in worrying about it. You die, you die. :P

Hm.
I'm moving to Russia. Hah. Hopefully that won't happen in the next 90 years. Just to be safe.

I don't think the 30 m wave will affect all of North America, so Western North America should relatively be safe.
Thats terrible :o
i heard on tv that australia might be hit by a tsunami soon. :wth:

I saw a documentary about this on the Discovery Channel months ago, pretty scary stuff. Isn't that island like really volcanically active or something, and basically half of it is just gonna slide into the ocean when there's enough seismic activity on the island?

Whoa, hold on. I think if one of this had already hit, we'd know it. You're speaking of this in past tense, making it sound like it's all happened, and it's a little confusing. SO! I honestly doubt that arresting a Hindu leader would result in a 350-meter high tsunami to a mostly non-Hindu area. I think a lot of things in the Bible, Torah, and other religious documents are not literal, but merely representative. Legends, if you will, with a base in fact--but just that, a base. Not the word-for-word truth.
Anyway...a huge tsunami like that wouldn't hit the Midwest, so I'm safe.

When did you hear that? Anyway, Australia is in the middle of a tectonic plate, I wouldn't think there's too much of a chance of a serious tsunami coming its way (if it's earthquake related) in the near future. Unless it's a mega tsunami... :wth:

Yeah, i forgot to mention that too
But yah today in my anthropology class we learned that 300 years ago an earthquake of this magnitude happened and a tsunami just as bad hit the western part of canada and the united states. But obviously with the world being less populated it wasn't as devastating. Now to think that its the eastern's side next.

I live in the east of Holland so if the tsunami is going to hit Europe too, I'll be save... I live above sea level. But it's pretty scary and I hope it never happens.
I feel safer living in the coldness of scotland now, the thought of this is frightning

Woah. That's mad. I had heard about something like that a while back but never knew it'd be that big.
One thing is though... that because one has hit, every fecking country thinks they're gonna get hit by one... I agree with my mate on this one: America just want to say "We have better disasters than you!"

No, it definitely wouldn't be in your best interest to move here. We'll be underwater in five years or less anyway- tsunami or no, what with all these past hurricanes. Next season will probably be just as shitty.
Anyway- the thought of another massive tsunami occuring- regardless of where- isn't exactly welcoming.

Too Late... Been here since 96. I was beginning to think the tradeoff for Nice weather being Hurricanes was a little extreme this year. But I guess its the price you pay for living in Florida.

wow.. thats interesting.. but thats like that huge earthquake thats supposed to have happened in califonia that hasnt yet.. once it happens it will obviously suck.. i know u cant stop a earthquake.. but can u like "diffuse" a tidal wave once it starts? like do something to slow it down or decrease the size of it? i seriously have no idea..

exactly, so determining if you should move from florida or wherever just because someone has posted things about a mega tsunami is ridiculous if you ask me.
Next time, it wont be a tsunami, itll be something different so it will take people by surprise once again like it did in asia.

So you dont believe me? So you dont believe all the magazines and tv-shows about it?
Well, if it comes in the next 50 years we'll see who's dead and who's not. okay? While you're buying clothes or going to work, i'll be somewhere in the east of Holland where its high. Well, you'll be high to but thats because you'll be in the wave itself.

How plausible it is that natural disasters can't happen again due to the fact that they won't take the victims by surprise again.
Come on, natural disasters will happen whether they surprised the people before or not. The past of a natural disaster does not mean it won't happen again. Case in point; Mt St. Helens blew in 1980 in Seattle, and was spewing again last year (not violent, but it was still happening).

I didn't read the whole thread because I don't have the patience to do so..
..but I saw the same documentary like 2 weeks ago after the tsunami happened. It had to be updated because they were talking about that mountain falling into the ocean and then the wave would wipe out everything the exists from Miami to Boston...
If it does happen I hope I'm eaither old and crippled (since Ill die soon anyway) or thta Im already dead.
