Metallica has officially confirmed the first eight (8) tour dates of The Sanitarium Tour, a tour which will hit major stadiums across the country starting July 4th. The first tour dates are as follows:
July 04 - Pontiac Silverdome in Detroit, MI
July 06 - Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA
July 13 - Citris Bowl in Orlando, FL
July 19 - Ohio Stadium in Columbus, OH
July 25 - Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, MO
July 27 - The Metrodome in Minneapolis, MN
August 01 - Invesco Field in Denver, CO
August 03 - Texas Stadium in Irving, TX
Philadelphia, New York, Montreal, Houston, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Toronto, Washington/Baltimore, and Chicago still have dates and venues to be confirmed. The six-week tour will close on August 27 at an as-yet-undisclosed location.
