Slowly I start to awaken
By subconciously looking in your eyes
Funny how I used to adore them
Bright did they once shine
You offer your hand to pull me away
Yet you let go of my hand once before
I gave you my trust and you betrayed it
Then kicked me hard on to the floor
Behind your facade you are crying,
behind crystal black tears, you're hollow and nothing more
Poe's Raven, to be left with nothing
Your conscience allowing you to speak, nevermore, nevermore
Suddenly colors appear brighter, whiter and clearer than before
Black has dissolved, now that the problem has been resolved
Many years later as I stand poised
Upon your unmarked grave,
I reminisce all that I once gave
And thought "how I could have been so benevolent?"
And as I felt the first snowflake of winter
Fall upon my head
I placed one single blackened rose
Upon the mount of earth, now said to be your blanket
Then the vow I said under a low, icy breath, I shall never forget: "I shall not cry for your abscence"
And I walked away in silence
Quietly, of course, as not to wake the dead
By subconciously looking in your eyes
Funny how I used to adore them
Bright did they once shine
You offer your hand to pull me away
Yet you let go of my hand once before
I gave you my trust and you betrayed it
