This one was inspired by "Enjoy the Silence". Any feedback would be, as usual, much appreciated.
When it's nearly silent
Your breathing deep and even
I lie next to you, sharing your dreams
The peace on your face arrests me
Silence
I lie in our silence
Tomorrow we're back through the mill
So we should take our night
I touch the tips of your fingers
The unshaved stubble on your face
I'm overwhelmed and yet calmed
Lying in this warm darkness
Silence
I lie in our silence
Tomorrow we're back through the mill
So we should take our night
Because in the morning
It's just one noise after another
Only at night can I hold you
In the day you slip from my reach
When it's nearly silent
Your breathing deep and even
I lie next to you, sharing your dreams
The peace on your face arrests me
Silence
I lie in our silence
Tomorrow we're back through the mill
So we should take our night
I touch the tips of your fingers
The unshaved stubble on your face
I'm overwhelmed and yet calmed
Lying in this warm darkness
Silence
I lie in our silence
Tomorrow we're back through the mill
So we should take our night
Because in the morning
It's just one noise after another
Only at night can I hold you
In the day you slip from my reach
