I was looking at HTEP's at ebay.com (though I'm not buying them, the last original EP I saw there went for $812, and reissues are still expensive) and I found this reissue, take a look at the pics:
Look (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=307&item=4038063878&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW)
I had already seen the booklet, and it's kinda cool, but I have never seen the original's booklet, I know is not the same, so could anyone that has the original EP share some pics of its booklet (if there's anyone)?

I was going to bid on the original, but it got to $500 so I used buy-it-now on an auction for the EP, advance version of hybrid theory, and the promo cassette with 2 songs on it.
My quiestion is why does it go for so much on ebay? I've seen websites that sell it for far less than $812 or $500 or whatever currency and over here in England I've seen an authentic Hybrid Theory EP going on A MARKET STALL for just £12 (about $15-$17) and I do not think that it was a fake Because I examined it very closely it I couldn't see a single sign of it being fake.

Usually people that re-sell it on the internet are fans/ex-fans and are more aware of it's rarity and how much money it's worth. The random swap meet guy who works for a record company or got it from his cousin probably has no idea.

Yes. There's only 1000 copies of the original. Quite a rarity. If I inherited alot of cash I'd definately want to buy it.

Yup, it's the re-release. Save yourself the extra bucks and get this one.
They re-released it after they changed there name. This was probably one of the copies handed out to the Underground. Thank god I was one of the first and got the autographed copy :) .

god I love the scary picture of the baby. I already got it as a little poster hanging over my bed. thats such a great thing to compare the normal baby picture and then the scary picture, I still fall in a little trance. linkin park should use this kind of cd covers, that really shows more their style, you know, like the heavy and brutal style as the scary kid and the melodic style as the calm kid. the cover for meteora was the ####.
btw: I never would pay more than 30 bucks for the ep. it doesnt worth for it cause you get the songs everywhere in the internet. just put it all on a cd and print the front and back cover. thats it guys. I think to buy the original cd is more for the really hardcore linkin park fans.

I've looked, can't find it (in fact, the only website I've found that got original EP's covers is pushmeaway.com, the rest of them are taken from that site and edited or the reissue cover)
And I find it interesting because almost no one has seen it...
