The technical side of Invision confuses me, i could really use you guys help because i know there are alot of people here well skilled in Invision, i have a banner, but i have no idea how to put it on, the banner link is http://free.managefootball.com/imagehostin.../Calinho/fz.jpg (http://free.managefootball.com/imagehosting/image/Calinho/fz.jpg) the link to my forums is http://s4.invisionfree.com/Football_Fanzine
Is anyone willing to put this on for me
And is anyone willing to install a skin for me if i was to get one?
Putting your header isn't too tough. You can change that in the stylesheet under Skin Management in the ACP. Adding a skin also isn't very difficult, although making one yourself is.
IMPORTANT
Never mess with the actual IPB Standard Skin. Always make/edit new ones.
Im sooooooooo confused
i have a skin, could anyone install it for me?
InvisionFree doesnt offer FTP access so you wont be able to upload that skin you wanted to.
About the header, ill get back to you soon. Just going to go take a look in my own ACP for the specific location of it.
edit //
ACP > Manage Skin Sets > HTML Templates (on the left menu under MSS) > Global HTML Templates > Board Header (logo, links, etc) > Edit Single > half way down you should find:
<!--IBF.BANNER-->
<div id='logostrip'>
<img src='{ibf.vars.img_url}/logo4.gif' alt='Powered by Invision Power Board' border="0" /> ('{ibf.script_url}')
</div>
<!-- IE6/Win TABLE FIX -->
change the bolded part to http://free.managefootball.com/imagehostin.../Calinho/fz.jpg (http://free.managefootball.com/imagehosting/image/Calinho/fz.jpg)
HTH,
Matt

HTH,
Matt
I wouldn't do that if I were you, it's best to always use a new skin set then edit of the default. It can cause trouble when upgrading to a newer board.

Man, go to:
Admin CP >> Images (on the left menu, under "Skinning & Styles ")
Now you can see all the pics you use. "Logo" is the firts one. Change the text to :
<img src='http://free.managefootball.com/imagehostin.../Calinho/fz.jpg
' alt='' border='0' />
Than select the check box.
Than go to the bottom of the page and click to "Submit"
Tell me if it works.

What is happening? Did you find "Logo"?
try with this text:
<img src='http://free.managefootball.com/imagehostin.../Calinho/fz.jpg' alt='' border='0' />
anyway if you find this text box (where is "Logo") you just have to edit the text.
