Jessica the Genius?

Jessica Simpson gets catty and cozy, when she poses for next month's Vanity Fair. But does America's favorite "Newlywed" play up her role as a ditzy blonde for the cameras? In the article, Editor Krista Smith writes that Jessica may actually have an IQ up there with Albert Einstein.

In fact, Jessica's mom says her daughter's IQ is in the 160s. "The genius IQ is from Tina Simpson," Smith revealed. "I do think the ditziness is played up a bit on MTV. I think it's edited in a very clever way."

But Jessica's TV ratings are what MTV keeps track of. And the network is extremely pleased with the success of her show, which is now in its second season.

And although Simpson is famous for her revealing outfits and sexy videos, when she married husband Nick Lachey, Jessica was a virgin. "She did say that her decision to keep her virginity was more of a traditional thing," Smith told us. "Her belief in God did have something to do with it, but it wasn't entirely motivated by that."

But since she's tried it, Simpson reveals that she likes it. So is a baby next? "No babies," Simpson insisted. "I am definitely not pregnant."

You can read more about Jessica Simpson when Vanity Fair hits newsstands on July 13th.

A 160 IQ?! BWHWHWHWHWHWHAHA!

Played up? Maybe a little. Anywhere near 160 IQ? Doubt it.

EDIT: BTW, 160 is good... check it: http://ask.yahoo.com/ask/20031016.html

That was in the 5th grade (I heard on Access Hollywood). Which was like 10 years ago. People change.

I bet she took the IQ test and picked random answers.

160 is amazing. You would need one hell of a lot of luck to score a 160.

160 is just impossible... ok.. Maybe she's a little smarter then on the show. But 160 is just too much

Well, I just don't see it. There's no credibility to the assumption that she's faking it... I see no reason to believe it. I mean, if she were really faking it then why on Earth would her mom reveal this? Sounds to me like she's trying to defend her daughter. Don't you think that if they were going for ratings and such by making her "play" dumb that they wouldn't want to reveal that she's not dumb?

Her IQ probably isn't 160, but she isn't dumb. I'd say it's around 125 or so. Even Nick has said that Jessica played dumb a lot.

She's not terribly smart, but she is pretty smart.

In my opinion, a lot of the lyrics she writes are actually really good. (She writes most of her lyrics herself.)

I guess we're just gonna have to agree to disagree, lol :)

I can't stand her lyrics at all, either. They're so simple and plain (not to mention vague)... I mean, Linkin Park doesn't have the best lyrics in the world, either, IMO, but her's are just below par.

They're typical lyrics that any girl her age would write. Can't blame her.

Pieces Of Me is catchy, though.

There we go, that's what I was trying to say.

I don't really see much difference between her and Hillary Duff, to be honest. I mean, I know they're different, but it's like their out of the same vein.

Now that I could go with. Perhaps a tad smarter than she acts, but I don't think she's smart. Not 160 smart... that's "superior" intelligence. She'd be on par with Abe Lincoln and a few philisophers (sp?).
